Hi everybody. I'm just a regular applicant trying to get some acceptance letters and then weigh my options. I am applying to alot of schools, some are reaches, others safteys, and the majority in my LSAT/G.P.A. range. I am really excited to relax and wait for some responses. It just feels so good to be done with this process and finally wait and see. I wish everyone good luck!

I woke up to my first acceptance today from Charlotte School of Law. Nice way to start off a Friday. It feels good to finally say I will "officially" be going to law school somewhere.

03/02/10
Compulsively checked all of my available status checkers today like usual...found out I have been "pooled" at WVU, so it looks like I will be "swimming" with all the other applicants until they take a look at more people...I had a feeling that I was going to receive this news, because alot of other users on this site with better numbers were pooled so I guess it is better than a polite no.

03/03/10
Received a call from Southern Illinois University today congratulating me on my acceptance. Wow, it was so nice of them to call me directly, it really made me feel good. I would love to learn the law in Illinois, because I see myself practicing here. I can already tell the more acceptances I receive, the more difficult it is going to be to come to a decision on where to attend.

03/08/10
Received an e-mail from Valpo Law telling me I have been accepted, and inviting me to their open house (acceptance in the mail). Great school and only an hour an half away from Chicago, makes it even better.

Got home from work to a nice white envelope in the mail from New England Law. Boston would be a sweet place to live...but, I don't know about $39,000.00 a year in tuition.

And the good news keeps on coming...I received a phone call from Western New England today telling me I have been accepted with a scholarship. So, I am five for five, and this cycle cannot be any better right now. Western New England would be cool to still stay in a college atomosphere and have the opportunity to go to Boston or NYC on a weekend. I think I need to get all my responses back before I make a decision, but what scares me is alot of my schools have seat deposits due April 1st. I guess what's an extra $200.00 to make a sound decision. Who knows where I'll be come August.

First, I guess you can say disappointment today, I received a small white envelope from Suffolk University telling me I have been placed on their Waitlist. This was one of my reach schools so I'm not suprised. Eitherway, I'm going to have to start withdrawing from some of these schools soon.

3/17/10
Received a letter from the John Marshall School of Law yesterday enclosed in a small white envelope. They congratulated me on being "accepted" and then told me the class of 2013 is full. In addition, if a spot opens up I can come, but if not, I will be admitted for next year. Haha gimme a break...this school overadmits and then tells me sorry we like you but were full...sit and wait for us for this year...and if it doesn't go your way there is always next year. Overall, this school seems like one that only cares about you as a number so they can keep the money rolling in. It would be a different story if JMLS was a T1, and I was trying to decide between them and Harvard, but honestly, I know where I'm at in this decision process, and SIU continues to make the most sense financially.

Received a yellow mailing envelope with an acceptance letter and scholarship for half off my tuition to Thomas M. Cooley...with all my other acceptances I will be withdrawing from some schools next week.

3/19/10
Waitlisted at Drake enclosed in a small white envelope via U.S. Mail. I'm just happy I was not rejected...I like Drake, but I knew it was a reach.

Waitlisted via status checker from Loyola New Orleans.

3/29/10
Sent in my seat depost for Southern Illinois University. I went to their open house this past weekend, and the school just felt right for me. I will be withdrawing from all my other schools this week. I hope everyone is as happy with their choice on where to attend next year as me. Feel free to drop me line if your going to be at SIU next year, if you have any questions regarding the schools I got into, or any questions on factors that might help you in making your decision for next year.

3/30/10
Withdrew from quite a few schools today. I hope that my seat finds someone else well. I know how horrible it can feel to be waiting to get into a school. Hopefully, someone can get off a waitlist because of me.

4/28/10
Withdrew from the rest of my schools today. In hindsight, maybe I should not have applied to all of them. Nonetheless the law school application process worked out exactly how I had hoped.

The first thing I got from WVU was an e-mail, I got a letter repeating the information only a couple days later. To be honest at the point I got accepted, the status checker wasn't even up yet. Every time I would go to it all I saw was a text box saying that the status checker would be up soon.

Thanks, and congrats on all of your acceptances. I didn't have the chance to make it to SIU for the open house but there were a few factors that helped me decide to attend. 1. The affordability 2. Family Law program (my main interest) and 3. Size of school and positive reviews. I noticed you decided on SIU immediately after attending the open house. Find out anything interesting?
