Additional info & updates

03/08/10

I am completely shocked that I was waitlisted by New England. Wow. No words. The letter said that due to my "credentials", my application needed further viewing. I withdrew my application. Ridiculous.

03/10/10

GOT INTO SEATTLE U!!! SOOO EXCITED!!

03/15/10
Rejected from Lewis and Clark via snail mail. Not surprised. Online status not updated, so I never knew when to expect the decision. I just assumed I wasnt getting in, so I am not disappointed.

3/16/10
I got an email from stetson university here in tampa. They denied me admissions a couple of months ago. The admissions specialist basically emailed to see if I'd be interested in attending as a part-time student.

3/22 UO's letter is in the mail. It's sort of a toss up with this one. Not sure if I got in or not. Even if I didnt, I still got into SU which is ranked the same (77). Not really worried about this one either.

03/24 Called Nova to bug them about my decision. It's still in review. I just want my decision so I cant move on. I'm not interested in attending at this point.

Also called Mississippi about my decision. Receptionist assured me a decision would be made before April 15 (seat deposit due dates for most schools).

3/25 UMN's letter came today: rejection. not too concerned. Another 77 ranked school. Plus SU's has way better programs, in my opinion :-)
**PS FSU's letter still hasnt arrived. SUPER slow snail mail, especially since I live in florida. oh well...

3/29 FSU's rejection letter came. Not at all surprised. It was a dream school (and my number one pick).

Nova priority waitlisted me?? haha whatever. Wasnt interested in going there anyways. Nova was a safety.

Rejected by Oregon. Oh well.

Stetson emailed to see if I was interested in their part-time
program? I applied and was rejected in January for their full-time program. Maybe part-time? I wouldnt have to move at least.

4/15

Texas Tech- 2-3 weeks for a decision.

Ole Miss- told to call back Monday for a decision.

Willamette: I called to check the status of my waitlist position. Basically they havent even started to account for how many seats are available for those individuals placed on the waitlist. The admissions counselor informed me that in all honesty they would not likely have a decision for wait list candidates until mid to late July. I informed her that I was accepted into Seattle University, and she basically went onto convince me that I should definitely go to Seattle U over Willamette. I thought it was amusing. If I dont hear by Willamette by May 8 (the date of my move to Seattle), I will formally withdraw as a waitlist candidate.

Ole Miss- After being told on the phone that my application was still in committee earlier today, the decision letter came: Denied. Whatever. No one really wants to live in MIssissippi...even for three years.

4/19
Stetson emailed to inform me they would have a decision for the PT program by this week.

4/21
Florida Coastal received my information via LSAC. The Admissions director promised me a 12,000 dollar scholarship based on my GPA and LSAT if I applied, so I did. I applied. I was waitlisted three days after applying. Now months later, they rejected me. LOL NICE. They aren't even fully accredited. I hope no one falls into the 12,000 bait trap!

4/24
Seriously EFF stetson. I just got their rejection letter. I didnt even ask to be considered for their part-time program. They asked ME if i wanted to be considered after already rejecting me for fulltime! What a waste. Them going out of their way to contact me about the part time gave me false hopes for admissions.

4/29
Waitlisted by Texas Tech via Online Status Checker. Looks like im going to Seattle :-P

5/03

Rejection from Willamette sent via snail mail after being waitlisted for several months. I was initially told decisions would not be made on Waitlisted candidates until the middle of summer. This is perhaps good to know for those candidates awaiting Willamette's decision.

And congrats on Seattle! I had some "character and fitness" issues on my application but they are all over 7 years ago and none very serious. Still I think they have really sabotaged my cycle. I'm still happy with how some things are working out and I have some decent options. I got in a late app at Seattle so I'm still waiting to hear from them, hope it will be soon! Have you visited Seattle?

Yea, I really liked a lot of things about LC. However, I couldn't convince myself enough to leave California - especially with an acceptance to USF. Congrats on Seattle, I personally liked LC and Seattle U equally. I hope that you'll enjoy it.

Thanks!

And congrats on Seattle! I hear it has a progressive vibe and music scene similar to Austin.
