I graduated last year and have worked full-time in the investments industry since then.

A lot of volunteer work.

Worked part-time while getting my undergraduate degree.

Solid LORs from professors I worked with closely.

Sent Date = Date I sent the application
Received Date = Date the school was sent my LSDAS report
Complete Date = Date I was notifed my application went complete

Fee waivers I used: Northwestern, Virginia, Illinois, Michigan State, Penn State and Indiana...all the others were free through LSAC.

I was able to have all three LORs sent in early and my personal statement done. Now it is time to just sit back and watch the cycle develop.

10/13/07 - Duke status changed to a deferral. It said I had "completed the initial review and will be further reviewed. There is no set time frame for this process."

10/27/07 - Duke status changed back to being my application is under review. Is this good news?

11/19/08 - Acceptance phone call from OSU! Certainly one of my top schools. Admissions packet coming this week with financial aid information coming in February. I am officially going to law school!

12/3/08 - Email from The University of Texas stating "the Admissions Committee has decided to hold your file for additional consideration with the general applicant pool. Your status as a 'hold' should not be viewed as a denial, a deferral, or an invitation to the waitlist."

12/5/08 - Checked my Georgetown status checker and have officially gone to decision. Keeping my fingers crossed but I know an acceptance is not likely.

12/8/08 - Came home to find a rejection letter from Georgetown. It came in a normal sized envelope.

12/9/08 - Acceptance phone call from University of Akron. Scholarship information and admission packet to come!

Record: 2-1-1

12/9/08 - Checked my email from home and noticed a fee waiver from Northwestern. I am out of their wheelhouse but will certainly apply and interview.

12/10/08 - Email from UVA. Waitlisted! I am thrilled to have been waitlisted at such a great school as Virginia.

12/15/08 - Came home to a large envelope from UIUC. Accepted!

12/18/08 - Received a phone call from Asst. Dean of Admissions. Accepted to GMU! The decisions just keep getting tougher.

12/22/08 - Email acceptance from Michigan State. Phone call with an offer for a full tuition scholarship!!

12/23/08 - Email acceptacne from Penn State. We Are...Penn State.

12/30/08 - I called Indiana to check on the status of my application as I had yet to hear anything from them. I went complete on 10/29 and no decision has been made. Please Indiana, give me an acceptance with one of those nice scholarships!

1/12/09 - So the rejections are about to start coming in. I wondered when it would happen. It is to be expected.

1/23/09 - Acceptance email from Case Western. The packet should be coming in the mail and I hope it is a nice scholarship offer.

1/23/09 - Vanderbilt letter. I guess that is to be expected but I don't have to like it.

1/27/09 - Acceptance email from George Washington. I cannot believe that I got into such a great school. Still completely shocked. I will definitely have to go visit. Thank you so much GW.

2/3/09 - Placed on Hold at Northwestern. I will certainly be staying on and contacting them at some point to see if what I can do to get in. They will be contacting again in April to give their decision

2/13/09 - Decision made at Duke. I am expecting this one to be a rejection. Letter should be coming shortly in the mail but Monday is Presidents Day so the wait will long.
