Was told via email before applying by Minnesota, that they would only look at my higher LSAT score because it was more than 4 pts higher.

Brooklyn told me via snail mail, that in March they would inform me if I was going to receive any scholarship money.

Cardozo said in their wait list letter, that I might have a better shot of being accepted off the wait list if I considered their program that starts in May instead of August.

Hofstra mailed me a t-shirt a few weeks after I got an acceptance letter with a scholarship offer.

Minnesota deferred me, said I did not make it in on the first wave of admission. I sent them a letter telling them I was still interested.

I sent letters to schools I had not heard from yet that I was still interested.

Brooklyn 2 months after they accepted me sent me a scholarship offer of $15.1k/yr.

After being deferred by Minnesota in January, they accepted me in March. I sent them a nice letter after I was deferred in January.

I send withdrawal letters to on 3/13/06 to:
Hofstra, Temple, St. John's, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and UConn.

3/18/06- I got a thin envelope from Wash U, wait listed...

3/20/06- I received an email from Brooklyn's dean, an invite to meet personally with him.

3/24/06-3/25/06- I went to visit Minnesota for their open house.

3/24/06- email from American with my fin aid package.

3/29/06- thin wait list envelope from W&M, I sent them back the form to be on the wait list with a nice letter.

3/30/06- went to visit Brooklyn, had a tour and talked to admissions people.

3/31/06- Brooklyn offered me via email an additional $5k grant in addition to my $15.1k/yr scholarship.

4/1/06- Washington & Lee sent me a thin wait list letter.

4/3/06- I sent a withdrawal letter to Brooklyn.

4/5/06- UConn had a 3L call me to ask if I had any questions. Too bad, I already sent them a withdrawal letter.

4/7/06- Brooklyn admissions emailed me to ask which law school I would be attending.

4/7/06- Went to Wash U to visit, tour+met with their admissions office. They accepted me on the spot, gave me an official letter, a binder with info for admitted students, and later that day I received a congratulatory email from them.

4/11/06- Sent out withdrawal & withdrawal from WL letters to all schools/paid deposit online for Wash U.

Letter dated: 4/10/06- $10k/yr scholarship offer from Wash U.

4/23/06- Cardozo called to tell me I was accepted off the wait list with a scholarship!

5/3/06- I'm Wash U bound! Sent my 2nd deposit in!

i'd take heart that you haven't yet been deferred by wash u. they seem to be handing those out like candy. but it also seems like they operate along the lines of >165 = admit,

oops... no NWU...

My mistake, no Northwestern rejected my ass... But I went to visit Minnesota last week, looks like I might be headed there.

hi japper, you may have been in the same bind as me - choosing between Wash U and American Okay you are from CT, I am from the east coast too - so tell me did you consider going to american? I am interested in international law but am nervous about the quality of american overall - wash u is great, but they do not have comparable int\\\'l law classes. Another consideration is that I would like to be in NYC after graduation - Given these interests, any isights?

do you want to practice anywhere specific after graduation? Was money a factor in making your decision?
