Throwing this out there, maybe it will help someone. I work full time at night, went to school full time - graduated Nov. 2008, I have 7 (seven, not a typo) children, married and GOING TO LAW SCHOOL in Aug!!!!! YEA! I never want to look back and say, "shoulda, coulda, woulda".

Anyway just said that to say this - if you have a dream go after it! Only YOU can stand in your way. If I can do this, you can to. And for all those getting those "no" letters - IGNORE them! It is their loss and for those that get the insulting posts, "forget them!". Those people are unhappy with their life and need to pull someone down with them. Don't let it be you. I hope to see some of you in school and hope many of you are going after this dream to bring REAL justice into this world.
BTW this is my favorite quote and I hope it is others that are seeking to be an attorney:

"Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Congrats on your acceptance! =) And wow! 7 kids. I'm sure you must get that response a lot. I'm planning to go there next fall as well. I'm pretty sure that I will also be going part-time my first year because I will have a 3hr/day drive to attend and may be finishing up my thesis. I haven't had the chance to visit the school yet, and I was wondering what you thought of it.

Thanks!!! I will most definitely see you there! I was actually going to email you and get some info on Jacksonville, if that's alright!

Congrats on Florida Coastal!

Thanks for the congrats! BTW, 7 kids WTF! How did you pull that off? I have three young ones and I thought that was tough! I too worked full time while going to school and I too graduated in Nov 2008! That's kind of cool! I wish you the best of luck! Much success to you in all of your endeavors! Here's to our husbands kicking in! CHEERS!

Hi, I read your post on another's person's profile. I am really impressed that you decided to go back with what you already have going on in your life. I am really considering FL coastal to attend this upcoming fall. They contacted me a while back and I thought it was great bc communication back and forth has been amazing. I am VERY skeptical about all the money involved. I do not want to put law school off for another year so I need a clear look at how much I am really looking to take out in loans. Do you live in the area? They are giving me 8000 for the year and I think that's generous. Unlike you I will not be working :(. Is there any real estimate you can provide me with respect to housing, food, tuition, etc. Seeing as my only source of income right now would be the 8000 and the loans! Thank you so much for any help you can offer. AND great quote btw, one of my main motivations in the pursuit of law :)

No, but I am coming down friday to make my final decision. I really need to see where I will be for three years and how I will enjoy the area as well as the school. How big is the school? It looks huge. Glad you love it and thanks!
