Congrats on UoP. Did they offer you any $? I've visited the campus and I used to live in CA. So if you have any questions ask away. Take care.

I can't really speak with any knowledge about the student body. Sacramento, however, is a pretty cool city. It is certainly one of the less expensive places to live in CA (especially in Nor Cal). It has good and bad parts, like any city does. The campus is in kind of a sketchy area but if you drive 5 min away it gets nice. The campus itself is nice and well equipt. Before I visited Pacific it was one of my last choices. Now (unless a miracle happens with Berkeley or USC) it looks like I'll be going there. If you can you should go to legal scholars day to check it out. Anyway, I hope that helps some! Good luck with the rest of your applications.

Hey, did Richmond send you a postcard this week from the Pres. of Student Bar Assoc? I'm still waiting to hear from them as well..... do you know when they make most of their decisions?

Hey, I live in sacramento and I have visited UoP. The cost of living is on the rise. A decent two bedroom apartment will run you no less than 850 per month but probably more like 925. So, it can be somewhat expensive to live in Sacramento. The campus is pretty, but it is located in the middle of the ghetto(you would realize this if you visited). I have heard rumors about the school, most concerning the students. Seems as though sometimes they get a little too competitive there. HTH

Columbia is a great city and housing is affordable. You should visit the city and see for yourself. Not as pretty as Furman, but way more things to do.

don't go to USC

i spent 18 years of my life in columbia, and i'm not a big fan. for any female with any sense, the bar scene is very unsafe and sketchy. it's cheap though; you can rent 2 and 3 bedroom houses near the university for about $400 a month, but you'll need like 9 locks on your doors.

Congratulations on all your acceptances! With all your choices, have you ruled out Florida? If so, if you would consider letting them know by withdrawing, I would be very grateful! My fianc is on the waitlist there and it is his first choice.
