I sent my app 11/9/05 but it was not complete until 12/16.....3 days later I got the letter. I feel for you regarding the LSAT I was scoring between 158 and 160 on practice tests, but I literally had a panic attack the day of the real test and couldn't focus. I wanted to retake it, but my advisor told me not to take a chance of panicking again because that would just reinforce to them that I can't hack it.....I truly do not understand why one test is so much more valuable that 4 years of work!

good luck

When I visited Richmond, they said if there is a significant increase in scores then they will consider the higher score. This site says 7+ points. Best of luck!

yeah, i think we have a good shot. out of my apps I see Tulane, USC, Suffolk, NESL, Vermont, and WNEC as my safest bets. the rest are stretches and even dreams....

good luck too!

Vandy or Chapel Hill if you can. Go to a score that is nationally respected.

Way to go on Richmond and Tulane. I feel your frustration on the emphasis on the LSAT--you have a great GPA and I'm sure you're going to do very well wherever you choose to go. Best of luck!

Wow, we have the same LSAT and major. Vandy notification was small white envelope with wait list letter. Also, I had to send in a sheet confirming that I wanted to stay on the wait list. The letter stated that May is the time when seats are most likely to become available. Good luck with all of your applications!

I got the Vandy waitlist in a white envelope, it did not have a window. From the looks of it, they will be accepting people from the WL this year. Also the WL letter gave me the impression that Vandy expected us to send in additional application materials to help our cause.

Better late than never! Sorry it took me a while to get back but I was on spring break and didn't check my account. It seems like you already got the feedback on vandy...As for UGA...When you get a decision on online status check it will tell you what the decision is. It will say Congratulations etc. or Sorry etc. I have no idea what is going on up at Chapel Hill but they should get a move on if you ask me! Good luck! I'll be hoping for you! Hopefully they will decide soon!

Hello and congratulations to you too. Tulane, for me, was an easy decision, because I want to study Admiralty/ Maritime Law and Tulane has the #1 program in the world. Other than that, it's a tier 1 school and they have both Shotokan Karate and Kendo on campus, which I have been training in for over 20 years. For me, it was just a great fit. Also, the faculty and staff I have met thus far have exceptionally kind. Let me know when you've reached a decision.

Congrats on Tulane. I was in New Orleans last week to visit a friend at the law school. The campus looked amazing and the law students were very nice.

Congrats on Tulane. I just visited the school this past weekend and NO didnt look so bad. I was told in my acceptance email that "scholarship info will follow in the mail." About a week later it came and the amount was disclosed in a letter. I heard at the visiting students' day that most of their scholarships are disclosed to recipients in their acceptance packages in the mail, although a few may be awarded some time later. If they take your lsat as being a 163, i think you'll get a nice sized scholarship. On the other hand, if they averaged it to a 159, I'm not sure you'll get anything. I say this because I emailed the financial aid office asking about further aid and they said that most of their scholarship recipients have a 162+ and a 3.5+. If you fall a little below that, like me, you can still get something, but I guess those are the numbers they're looking at. Good luck!!

I currently live in new orleans and the conditions uptown are almost back to pre-katrina conditions. I recieved my scholarship with my acceptance letter. New Orleans is a great, but undergrad was enough for me. I could not see myself starting my life here. There is a strong "good old boy" additude in the work world. I strongly feel it is not a good place for a "foreigner" to begin their career.

Nothing yet?

Chapel Hill and Georgia are taking their sweet time. When do you think you'll hear from them?
