Money is each year. Georgia is for first year only. Arizona is avg. per year. Also, there are conditions attached to some of the scholarships.

10/27 - First acceptance. Georgia law school. Checked online. I received the letter in the mail a few days later. Scholarship decisions have not been made.

11/2 - Baylor acceptance with full tuition scholarship contingent upon maintaining a 2.60 cumulative GPA. A tempting early offer, and I don't have the aversion to Waco and Baylor's religious affiliation that some seem to have.

11/8 - Found out after I was ready to submit my application to Lewis and Clark that I had already been awarded a fee waiver. I had resigned myself to paying for the application. Fortunately I did not have to.

11/28 - Arizona acceptance by snail mail with scholarship info.

12/01 - Checked Santa Clara status checker, it said decision mailed. I got home and my acceptance letter arrived.

12/10 - Georgia offered me in-state tuition for my first year.

12/16 - E-mail from Miami saying that a scholarship letter was mailed this week.

12/17- Received large envelope from St. Louis U. with acceptance.

12/18- E-mail from UVA telling me that I have been put on the wait list. If I did get in I'd probably have to wait until July or later. Therefore, I think I will withdraw depending upon the decisions that I receive through January.

12/20-Received scholarship letter from Miami. $23,000 each year contingent on a 3.0 or better.

12/22-Received scholarship letter from Santa Clara. $14,000 for the first year. The scholarship can be renewed for all three years by being in top quarter of class and reapplying for the scholarship each year.

12/31-Came back from holiday visiting and I had a large envelope from Colorado with an acceptance.

1/20-I learned of my acceptance to Michigan State by a phone call from the director of the honors program asking if I had any questions about the program. I believe the honors program acceptance entails a full tuition scholarship.

1/24-Accepted via phone to Utah. The top choices are starting to come through.

1/26-Stuffed envelope from Willamette. $25,000 per year with a low tuition makes this attractive. Also, official letter from MSU. King's scholar full tuition.

1/29-Wait list at Vanderbilt, expected. I am withdrawing.

1/30-Accepted at L&C by mail with $25,000 per year. Very unexpected and attractive offer.

1/31-I have decided to withdraw from Santa Clara (too expensive) and Miami. I am considering withdrawing from some others.

2/6-After some deliberation, I decided to withdraw from Georgia.

2/18-I am trying to narrow down my schools. At this point it is painful to eliminate any of the schools.

3/26-Oregon has never gotten back to me. I don't know what is taking them. I decided to withdraw anyway. I'm pretty sure that I will be attending Lewis & Clark. I am excited.
