Additional info & updates

7/16/08: After a very long and tough process, I've decided on W&L. The scholarship was too much to pass up and works well with my wish to practice in D.C.

7/09/08: Accepted at William and Mary! With Grad Fellowship!!

Also, Accepted at Wash U with scholarship!

7/08/08: Accepted at Notre Dame!!!! With a scholarship!!!!

7/03/08: New LSAT score, up to a 166. Time to go over my options and let my waitlists know the good news.

5/28/08: After a visit to BU, I've decided to make a deposit at Tulane. So, unless UVA lets me in off their WL, I will be attending TU this Fall. New Orleans is just better for me than Boston.

5/15/08: Persistence pays off. 10k per year renewable (on good academic standing) scholarship at BU. Hmm, we might have a winner.

4/23/08: In at Washington & Lee via email. Makes a tougher decision.

4/11/08: Rejected at Cornell. Took them long enough. Only Indiana hasn't gotten back to me.

4/7/08: Waitlisted at WashU. Not surprised, but I love WLs so much. In other news, I put down deposits at TU and BU today. More fun!

4/2/08: Priority Non-Resident Waitlist at Virginia. Time to schedule an interview.

3/21/08: Waitlisted at W&M. Kind of surprised, but not too much considering how late it is.

3/8/08: Deferred at W&L. More waiting...oh boy...

2/19/08: All quiet on the Southern front.

2/7/08: Accepted at BU via Phone call. Yeah!

2/4/08: Letter from GW asking if I want to be on their Waitlist. Sure, doesn't hurt to fill it out.

2/2/08: On the provisional Waitlist at Notre Dame. Better than a rejection I guess.

1/28/08: Hey UConn! Another option for my future.

1/18/08: Accepted by Tulane. Nice to know I'm loved.

1/17/08: Didn't make the early decision cut at GWU and got deferred to regular admission. 0/3-ish

1/15/08: Hey Northwestern, what no love? Oh well, 0/2.

1/4/08: Rejected by Georgetown. Expected but I gave it a shot.

12/15: Decided to Apply to Notre Dame after a few letters and a chat with some of their admissions folks over the phone.

11/29: I am complete at every school. Now I play the waiting game.

I'll break down my decision process:

Reach:
Cornell (R)
Georgetown (R)
Northwestern (R)
Virginia (WL)

Mid-Reach:
GWU (WL)
Wash U (WL, A 10k/year)
Notre Dame (WL, A 18k/year)

Middle:
BU (A, 10k/year)
W&M (WL, A 21,200k/year)
Wash Lee (Def, A 35k/year)

Safety:
Indiana (A, 20k/year)
Tulane (A, 25k/year)
UConn (A, No $)

I really don't have a favorite although I did do the early app. for GWU since it nets a full scholarship and there was no reason not to.

Good luck to you too! We have almost identical numbers plus some overlapping fee waivers. I'll be curious to see how things turn out for both of us at UVA.

Thanks! I'm really nervous about the debt too. I was pretty much set on Temple because it would be cheap, but I know if I go there I will always regret not going to Boston.

UVA, top choice without a doubt.
