Horrible Freshmen year tanked GPA. Only one "C" made afterwards, but damage was irrevocable. To boot, LSDAS computes my NCs from Freshmen year as Fs! Hopefully Adcomms will actually peruse the actual transcript.

Had I not been accepted at two other schools w/ stronger regional reputations maybe. I just can't imagine moving from Miami to Bama. But hey you never know, maybe they'll send a full ride scholarship my way.

Jones and a White Liberal

To After1500: "Please consider them. I don't want to be the only URM there. I know it's gonna be a sea of RED Right-wingers. lol - klarkent" Hey, I noticed your post on After1500's wall! My wife is hispanic as well. We are both considering Jones. Though I am white, we are both lefties!! So, I have half the battle won huh :). Have you decided on your school yet? The open house is this saturday, maybe we will see you there!

Hi! I was at the open house as well and was very impressed. Though I am very conservative, quality legal education only improves with diverse viewpoints...and the speakers (professors) represented the gamut of the political spectrum, even while professing a strong faith. So, if you are seeking a great education with professors who are willing to listen and harbor a friendlier (but by no means easier) learning environment, Jones is definitely the place to be.

Congrats!
