Wlfpck05, actually heard from UNC-CH just yesterday, 2/10/05, kind of expected the outcome, still waiting on that good letter to show up in my mailbox, let me know if you have any other questions.

CULaw2005, that all depends on where else I am accepted, obviously if CU's summer program is the only thing I get offered then I'm going to have to take it, however I am very hopeful that I get admitted outright to the fall semester.

CULaw2005, going by my numbers and having already applied before, what do you think of my chances?

Campbell

CULaw2005, this is my first time applying, I'm graduating from ECU in May of this year and this will be my first application cycle, by "having applied before" in my previous post I meant from your perspective already applying before what do you think my chances are given my numbers, thank you for your advice and let me know if you have any other questions.

Cool!!!

Unfortunately, it was a plain your on the waitlist blah, blah, blah, please send an e-mail verifying that you would like to remain on the waitlist. Have you received a decision yet? I was really counting on Campbell, I'm hoping it still works out, although I'm doubtful.

I'm sorry and in answer to your question, no I didn't receive an offer for the PBAP program.

I think I'm going to let Appalachian offer go, because they don't have Law Review, which is something important to me to try for. I spoke with them on the phone, and they sound like a great bunch of people. Although the area is really remote, you might do well there because they all sound very supportive of their students. Also, did you know that Charlotte Law is opening in Fall 2006? If you email me, I can send you a scanned article from Monday's NC Lawyer's Weekly. You might want to wait and apply there. They are catering to the borderline people, and will be about the same tuition-wise as Florida Coastal (it's sister school) No, Campbell has not even called me for an interview, and that really pisses me off. They cashed my check quickly enough, though. I also have not heard a peep from NC Central, Wake, Pace, S. Carolina. They say no news is good news, though. Good luck to you. Feel free to email me anytime.

I think you have a great shot at getting in at NCCU. They waitlisted me which really irritates me seeing as though my LSAT and GPA are both higher than their average, but hey you got to please the masses, right?

To be completely honest, the very fact that your female lies in your favor and produces a disadvantage for myself. How low are your numbers?

That's not bad, especially with that graduate GPA. Your LSAT could have been better, but everybody has a bad day. I think you have a legitimate shot at getting in. I got waitlisted at Richmond today, I'm actually thrilled by that. That's a tough school and they waitlisted me, I was pretty much sure a straight-out rejection was coming. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Good luck!!!

Appalachian

Keleka, actually I visted Appalachian and Grundy about 3 weeks ago and you are very correct. There is no real big city, I don't see any networking that can be done there, and I did realize they had a law review. However, they are offering me 100% of my tuition as long as I stay in the top 30% of my class for all three years, that is hard to pass up. But, the lack of networking combined with my desire to be located in a big city may sway my decision towards Samford, which I have heard nothing but great things about. As you can see though, I still have a lot of waitlists to hear from. Have you got any other suggestions, maybe on what the chances are that a waitlist might come through, being a law librarian and everything?

South Texas

hey- hadn't talked in a while so i thought i would just keep you posted on some stuff, got in south texas on friday, which i was really pumped about, i visited stcl during spring break and was really impressed with the connectinos that they had in the houston area, also, they have a joint mba program with texas a&m, which has one of the top mba programs in the country. i wasn't able to make it to memphis due to flight complicaitons, but i am going to richmond on monday. as of now i think i have narrowed it down to richmond, tennessee, and south texas. hope to catch you on aim sometime.
