Joan, I agree totally. This past year gave me time to reflect on some things. I too honestly believe that I would have failed out had I gotten in last year. In the past year not only did I focus on getting in to school, but I focused highly on my family. During this time I learned that my spouse of 10 years and the love of my life for almost 16 years was being neglected as I pursued this goal. It is my honest belief that not only would I have failed at law school, but in my marriage as well. Isn't it amazing how he works. Needless to say we are doing great and he is pushing for me harder than I am for myself. I will definately look into those books, and as before thank you. Proudmother
Thanks Joan, I am excited about that one. I'm not sure if you read that I am being reconsidered at Coastal. I wrote in an asked for another review. Now, the process is getting to be exciting for me.
Hi.. I just ran across Charlotte Law by chance yesterday and posted a few questions on law school discussion board about it. Somebody responded with your name so I thought I would drop you a line. Are you concerned with the accrediation process? Thats my major concern with that school.
I also heard that you know alot about this school. I would love to go but am nervous about them getting prov. ABA approval w/n three years. What do you think?
I hope to be your peer in the fall.
Hey Wranglerjoan, I just thought I'd let you know that FCSL said yes. I got the letter today. They are definately looking at the whole package and not soley the score.
Thankyou for your kind words. I intend to visit the school when they announce the location of the campus. Will you also be attending the PT program?
You asked why no UNC-Chapel Hill... well, I'm in their range, but not for scholarships! I've lived in GA, SC, NC, & OH in the last 10 years, so I'm up for any of those with $$!
The whole waiting process can really get to a person! I am curious as to what law firm you're working at. I'll drop you an e-mail later on to get the info for the Yahoo! Groups. Julie
words on my acceptance. I am not sure now. I really need to look at them more closely. I love that area. Do they have a building yet? I need to get on their site.
Thanks! Though I love the city, I just don't know anyone in Charlotte and thought the living arrangements could be difficult. I decided to wait on Columbia to be near my family and boyfriend. Good luck to you too and I will let you know if I change my mind. Betsy
WJ, Thank you for your offer of help... I appreciate it and I have probably seen you at the gatherings... Ms. Victoria said it was all about the number especially with attempting to get accredidation. Taking the LSAT in June... again Cathy
Joan, what do you know about NCCU. I got in and did so with money. Leaving me with a $11,000 per year tuition. Help, please.
Hey, if you ever get a moment, I have some questions about CLS and the city in general. We have two young children so any advice regarding preschools, neighborhoods, etc would be helpful. Thanks
Hey it's me Ray Ash from LSD. Charlotte is still under consideration. :) I would feel much better going there if I knew when it would become provisionally accredited, though..
Thank you for the encouragement. I actually applied to Charlotte Law on Tuesday 1/3/06 and emailed all of my supporting documents as well. They are really on the ball. They requested my reports from LSDAS on the same day. However, it never hurts to know someone associated with the schools. I too originally planned on attending law school last fall. I applied to 4 schools and was denied because of my 1st score. They all wanted me to retake the test in Feb. of 2005, and waited until March - April to reject me. I would have, but testing skills, finances, etc.. did not allow me to do so. Besides, I din't want to rush and get another awful score. Well congratulations on your acceptance. Hopefully we could meet at Charlotte law.
