12/09/05: Jeez all this waiting is killing me! The law school process is definitely taxing...studying for LSAT...waiting...doing apps & personal stmts...more waiting! Well good luck to everyone, enough people have told me this is all worth it!

12/12/05: Still waiting (actually I don't expect any decisions until Feb., but the wait is still driving me nuts!) Nothing new, except I'm contemplating applying to some really safe schools, although I can't imagine going into a great deal of debt for a really low-ranked school...we'll see and good luck to all those in my shoes stuck waiting.

01/07/06: And still waiting...I haven't heard anything from anyone (good or bad). Beginning to wonder what all this means....

01/09/06: And I get my first *ding*...from Denver. At least the wait is over and on the bright side maybe I'll be hearing from other schools soon enough. And now the obligatory "rejected" reaction: Denver is no good and will definitely be missing out. Hopefully more (happier) news to come....

01/19/06: My first acceptance today, in at Whittier (my extreme safety.) $10k scholarship. Definitely good news (in a standard envelope.) Now I know I'm at least going to school in the fall...even though Whittier is currently on probation by the ABA...hoping for much BETTER news soon!

01/26/06: Accepted at Vermont!!! There's some really great programs there, so I'm stoked about that. Definitely the best news I've heard so far. Large white priority envelope. Awesome.

02/04/06: Waitlist, DING, DING...Wow, didn't know it could be such a rough two days. Chapman waitlisted me yesterday and St. Louis AND L&C rejected me today. A lot to stomach. Somehow I don't think it's going to get any better. Still happy with Vermont, and it's looking more and more like that's where I'm headed. Can anyone say tough admissions cycle?!?!

02/27/06: DING! ASU knocked me out of the game today. I knew it was a stretch, but still burns. Needless to say Arizona and Oregon are soon to be no-gos too. At least I still have Vermont (trying to see the silver lining of this sucky cloud)...Best of luck to all those still waiting. Miracles do happen, just not today for me...

03/09/06: WAITLISTED at Gonzaga...sheezy! Apps are up this year there, so my chances of getting in aren't too great. I probably would've gone there too. Big disappointment.

03/11/06: Still keeping the faith...I know more rejections are to come, but I just need the right admits and I'm good. Good luck to all....

03/16/06: As predicted, Arizona came in as a rejection. Disappointing, but no shock. Would be cool to stay West Coast for school, but Vermont would be trippy too. Maybe Zaga or the Oregon schools will come through...maybe...

04/07/06: DING!, Waitlist. Rec'd rejection from UNLV today, expected. Waitlisted yesterday at Willamette with slim odds of eventual admission ("Five to ten students are admitted off our waitlist"). I better get used to snow, maple syrup and New England liberals...Vermont here I come! (well, most likely)....

04/08/06: Letter from Chapman updating me on my waitlist status...still on the waitlist. Don't know about this one. USNWR ranks Chapman in Tier 4, but a lot of people say it's rising quickly, especially since its only a couple years old. I think I've drawn this whole law school app thing out about as far as it can go...no more waitlists, I WANT DECISIONS!!!

04/13/06: Rejection from Oregon today...shucks. That sucks. Still hoping for some waitlists to come through so I have some more viable options. This application process gets harder and harder to take....
