Additional info & updates

1/24: Got into a few law schools so far. No rejections yet, hope this keeps up :)

1/26: 8K scholly for quinnipiac pt. still expensive though.

1/31: In review for Uconn part time. it's my first choice so im really excited and nervous at the same time.

2/1: Dean of Quinnipiac emailed me saying that I qualified for both pt and ft. Still waiting on Uconn :(

2/6: The dean of rutgers emailed me saying I was deferred.. aww man...

2/13: Sent in a LOCI to Rutgers Newark.

2/15: WL at Mercer today, pretty suprised cause I thought they would accept me. Its ok though cause its not a contender anyway. Saw that a few people got accepted to uconn today... still under review for Uconn. fingers crossed.

2/18: Sigh... I feel like I've been under review for weeks and weeks in so many schools. This is getting depressing. Seton Hall and Indiana has been reviewing my file for over 5 weeks. Decided to withdraw my app from Mercer today cause it's not one of my top choices. Also WL by Cincinatti.

2/21: WL by Seton Hall

3/5: went to Quinnipiac's open house. I felt very underwhelmed by the school. The library was beautiful and the building was very nice. But when someone asked the people what was the job rate after Quinnipiac, they said 90%. although about 30% of them went into private practice. Very depressing since the price tag on Quinnipiac is very expensive. Quinnipiac's 20,000 scholly makes it a competitive choice for me regardless.
The faculty were extremely nice and seemed really to care.

3/23: after 8 weeks of reviewing my app... Uconn STILL has not made a decision yet. longest wait ever.
Accepted by Indy Law today, nice suprise. Didn't realize that they don't waive OOS status at all, so I will be withdrawing soon.

3/25: so after 8 weeks of review... Uconn accepted me!!! Im so ecstatic! Will be attending!!!

Same to you! I am considering because it is beautiful and they have health law programs, but Seton Hall may be my number one right now(although they are not nearly as pretty). How about you?

Hi, I applied mid december but my file was not completed till mid January. The admissions office said that they will just review it again at another time. I asked to be reviewed for experience rather than lsat/gpa because my lsat score is unfortunately not strong.

Wednesday, November 17 2010 at 07:00 PM

Yea QU is rather expensive :( My application isn't under review yet ugh I Hope I go under review soon! Your Lsat is higher than mine so that should help you out for sure! Good luck! And keep me posted :)

Thanks good luck to you as well! UConn is my first choice also... not even in review yet so you'll probably hear before me!

Ugh no I dont think so my status online is complete still. Does yours say under review? When did you go complete. They're my last school and theyre far from a sure thing so Im going crazy lol. I heard from a friend that goes there that they are one of the slowest when it comes to reviewing apps.

Hey No I wont be able to go to the open house, its my spring break and I already booked a trip to Vegas haha. Right now I'm leaning towards QU or NESL. I did email them about more $ but was denied haha. If you're going to the open house let me know what you think :) I got into QU for undergrad too but didn't visit then either.

Wednesday, November 17 2010 at 07:00 PM

no. I can't, I'm currently finishing my undergrad at a school in Florida and I work part time. So it's not feasible for me to get up there untill after graduation. Let me know how it goes and what you think!

Thanks and congrats to you too! Yes I'll be going, and I'm going to be able to scrape together enough money to go full-time as well, which was what I was hoping for
