Additional info & updates

The range in schools exists for a couple reasons. First, I was a bit overambitious on creating options and didn't realize how competitive I might be. Second, I have two divergent interests, and most schools meet one or the other. Of course, my LSAT makes Harvard and Yale super-reaches (chiashu gave me 18 percent chance...good enough for a stab).

The first column shows the school's current USNews ranking (of the top 200 accredited law schools).

End of March ruminating: Fell in love with Notre Dame (and put money down on my seat); I then fell in love with Michigan and Ann Arbor; and to top it off, fell even more in love with Penn.

End of April ruminating: Most likely Penn (nearing plans to sign a lease); awaiting scholarship update from ND; little hope to turn my Harvard waitlist into an acceptance.

4-26-07 - Seat deposits at Penn ($) and Notre Dame ($$).

5-24-07 - Withdrew from Notre Dame.

Penn, here I come!

The few, the proud, the first two people (reporting on) full tuition scholarships to Lewis and Clark. Well done, though it looks like you have myriad options as far as free money goes. That was a little gloating, I guess, but I wanted to say hi. Also, I know who Lysander is. Go Broncos!

Actually, I totally was thinking of Lysander the Spartan, the member of the Heraklidai family [hows that for hard-core literal transliteration? Thats what you get after five years of Ancient Greek.] But I also knew that there was more than one, so, uh, go me. Thanks for the kind words.
