Additional info & updates

2/20/2008 - Received acceptance e-mail from DU and an estimate of financial aid (just loans) in a separate e-mail. I am hoping to receive something in the mail with some kind of grant.

2/27/2008 - Complete at Northeastern. Expect decision on or before April 15. First deposit at DU is due on the April 11.

2/29/2008 - Sent a couple of late last minute apps this week: Maine and CUNY. I have the jitters about getting a late start on this whole process and the fact that I only received loans from DU brought me back to earth with respect to the financial burden that I am considering.

3/19/2008 - Unsurprising rejection from Boalt. Understandable, but disappointing, waitlist at American. Trying to stay positive about CU.

3/21/2008 - Very encouraging scholarship award from DU! I am definitely breathing a little easier knowing that I have a solid option that I feel good about.

4/2/2008 - Received invitation to Admitted Students Day at Northeastern. Have yet to receive formal letter of acceptance but Admissions confirmed that indeed I have been accepted. Now have to wait and see if my financial aid package will make it a realistic possibility. I hope so!

4/3/2008 - Acceptances from Maine and CUNY. These were not top choices but CUNY has made an interesting offer that will make it a strong competitor as I make the final decision. Hopeful to hear from CU and Hastings within a week.

4/7/2008 - Although not realistically expecting more, I am disappointed about the financial aid from Northeastern. Over the last few weeks it had become my first choice. Don't think that it will be an option that I can consider at such a cost.

4/8/2008 - Accepted at CU! Very excited. This is getting harder!

Thanks!! I think you will have no problem getting in...I think I'm gonna score a waitlist because my lsat is a point too low...hopefully they will pull heavily from the waitlist this year...

Congrats on Univ. of Denver. I applied there too. I was just notified of acceptance from Univ. of Kentucky today. Try not to worry about the debt. It eventually pays for itself. Good luck.
