Extra Curricular Information

I sleep 8 hours a night and eat Froot Loops (sometimes even for lunch).

12/6 Update: 7 1/2 hours/night; no frootloops lately.

2/20 Update: Back to 8 hours/night; switched to oatmeal.

2/24 Update: Oatmeal makes for a mighty tasty breakfast. Have not tried it for lunch yet.

5/28 Update: Still sticking with oatmeal. And it's still sticking with me :-0

Additional info & updates

I have all of my fingers and toes, but am in the process of losing one of my big toenails. I also want a Chia Pet for Christmas (Mr. T version).

12/26 Update: I did not get a Chia Pet for Christmas (Mr. T or otherwise).

2/3 Update: Currently 5-3-2 with a three-school losing streak and five other very tough ones coming up. I need a coach...I wonder if Dennis Green is available..."THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!"

2/20 Update: Accepted at WUSTL via email yesterday...now 6-3-2. $$ info to follow via snail mail within 2 weeks. Thanks, Dennis. I'm not too keen on St. Louis, but Top 20 is Top 20.

2/24 Update: Am thinking I should've applied at GW and American (Washington School of Law), since I'm having pretty good luck with schools called "Washington". I'm just saying.

2/25 Update: Returned home to find UO acceptance with $7K/yr scholarship offer in the mail. Quack (As a Beaver Believer, I never thought I'd ever say that. Get a law school, OSU). Now 7-3-2...just one more and I'll be bowl eligible. Unfortunately, much like Vandy's situation in the SEC, I have no business winning the last five. Quel bummer.

2/28 Update: Waitlisted at Penn...a better outcome than I deserved. I will jump through all the requisite hoops, though. *crosses fingers*

3/3 Update: Accepted at USC. Now 8-3-2...Bowl bound!!!

3/5 Update: Scholarship offer received by WUSTL...$20K/yr for three years, renewable based on remaining in good standing. Deadline for accepting is very short; in fact, it's prior to the ASD. What kind of sense does that make?

3/12 Update: Rejected by Yale via snail mail letter... geewhatasurprise. At least it wasn't an email (Harvard is so tacky). Now 8-4-2.

3/20 Update: Asked for scholarship increase from Penn State...got bumped up $3K/yr. Probably not enough to sway me, but the Fin Aid Dean was very nice about it... she didn't have to offer me anything.

3/21 Update: Notified by USC that I would be getting exactly $0 in tuition assistance. ZERO. So much for my budding friendship with George Tirebiter. Will also be switching to Magnums. Boooooooo!

4/3 Update: Waitlisted at UVA. Also withdrew from several schools. Ho hum.

4/11 Update: Full tuition scholarship from UW! Very unexpected, and changes my expected decision.

4/19 Update: Rejected by Cornell, and I really don't care. They graciously advised me that, if Cornell is my top choice, I may want to consider a transfer application next year, with acceptance contingent upon "superior academic performance during (my) first yesar at another American Bar Association accredited law school". So I got that goin' for me...which is nice. Oh, by the way...don't hold your breath, Cornell. If my performance is "superior" and I want to "consider a transfer application", it sure the hell won't be to your school. Thankyouverymuchhaveaniceday!

7/11 Update: Done!

Hope you seriously consider going to University of Buffalo Law School. I am a first year student there and all my profs have Ivy League degrees (2 Harvard Law, 1 Cornell Law, and 1 Yale Law--he wrote our Criminal Law text !). Within our class is a Julliard trained violinist, a Stanford trained Naval Officer, a comedian, and a Korean translator who worked for Tony Blair in the UK !!!

Believe it or not, I am. I just received their viewbook and fee waiver. Sounds like you really enjoy it. I'm leaning against applying though, because I'm not a NYS resident and am already in at Penn State (I was impressed w/it). I might reassess at the end of this month after EA/ED decisions have been made.

Hey Congrats on your Penn State acceptance. As a cheerleader for UB, I have to note that it is higher rated that Penn State and even if you are out of state, I think it is still cheaper. But best wishes to you !

Congrats on the UW scholarship! How were you notified about the scholarship? Was it listed as part of your financial aid package or did you receive a separate letter?
