2-22-06: Received acceptance from San Diego in envelope without postage (marked: Postage due: 87c). Thrilled about my first law school acceptance.

03-08-06: Received acceptance email from Baylor, plus notification of Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship (full tuition for 3 years). Thanks Baylor!

03-13-06: Northwestern has put me on hold pending an interview. I'm scheduled for March 31st (the last day for interviews). I wanted an earlier date, but this is the only date where NU classes are in session (Spring Break) and I want to do a combined interview/visit/tour.

03-15-06: San Diego notified me today that I have been chosen as a Dean's Outstanding Scholar. The scholarship will cover full tuition for 3 years, plus a housing stipend, meal plan stipend, and books stipend. Thanks USD!

03-20-06: Acceptance from UC-Hastings came today in a letter.

03-24-06: Thin envelope from Columbia today. Thought for sure it was a rejection, but it was actually a 'hold'. They want updates.

04-07-06: Thin envelope from Boalt. Ding!

04-14-06: Big package from USC today. I'm in!

04-15-06: Letter from Stanford today. They've placed me on the waitlist. Also, for those still waiting to hear from Stanford, it mentioned that they are done extending offers of acceptance and are only giving out waitlists and rejections.

04-21-06: Received notice of admission via emaill from GWU. It's been a solid week, I'd say.

04-29-06: Busy day. Georgetown emailed me to let me know that my application was on hold until after their May 1 deposit deadline. Columbia put me on reserve. USC also gave me a $12k/year scholarship. Fight ON!

05-01-06: In at both Boston schools today.

Paul, there isn't any separate process to apply for this scholarship. It seems you would be automatically considered after acceptance. The scholarship is merit-based and based on "academic record". Your numbers are very close to mine and Northwestern is a great school, so you should have a very good chance.
