Have you thought about applying to New York Law in NYC? I noticed you have Pace on your list, and NY Law might present some better opportunities since it's in the city (Pace is in a "city" but still the suburbs of NY, I live very close to the school) - both are on par in terms of tier - just thought you might want to look into it!
I was going to apply to Cuse, but then I saw I had to write two extra essays if I wanted to be considered for a scholly so I said F THAT! If the new year comes and I'm still in no where then I'll think about applying.
No worries, it sounds like you did your due diligence! Good luck with your application cycle - I'm also applying to Northeastern - would sell a limb to get in! Will definitely follow your application process!
We have some similar schools and I saw you showed Pitt some love on another wall, so good luck to you. Pitt is high on my list as well, and I totally identify with you about the distraction that online status checkers can become. I see you applied to Temple, have you looked into Drexel as well?
I am not from the Philly area. Drexel's lack of a solid alumni base is a legitimate concern. I don't sweat the reputation factor much, because I am confident Drexel would not invest (money or its brand) in a graduate program that is not respectable/positioned to become respectable. It will take a few years to gain rep, but I would be very surprised if it wasn't a consistent place holder on the US NEWS rankings somewhere in the 40-75 range in a couple years. There CO-OP program is unique and there is a buzz around the legal academy about the future role of "hands on" (see W&L) education while in law school. The Co-op could turn out to be a leader in a new innovative approach to legal education, or it could simply be a niche holder, or even worse (for Drexel and it's alum) a passing fad. BUT I said what the hell, no app fee and it's in PA, why not throw my hat in the ring?
congrats on PSU!~ I was so excited when I checked my status checker!
Congrats on the PSU scholly...I'm curious to what the stipulations are to maintain it? Congrats again!
Congrats on the scholarship to Suffolk..I got the same ammount! Will you be attending Suffolk?
Same numbers woohooo, good luck!!
