congrats on UIUC, i loved undergrad there, though i want to try somewhere new for LS.
i wish i didn't do EE cuz that screwed my my gpa royally. there were many easy majors at my school.
I signed up for the summer program. I know how helpful easing into the study habits of law with just one subject will help me psychologically, especially since I've been out of school for a while. Plus, my lease runs out at the end of June, so we'd be in Bloomington anyways! I hear Prof. Baude is a really amazing lecturer, looking forward to Criminal Law.
(I posted this on Chloe's page, too, but it seemed appropriate for you too.) In a perfect world, I'd be joining you at IU. On my visit, I was also extremely impressed with the quality of the faculty/staff at IU. I didn't sit in on a class at Duke, but out of Harvard, UMich, and Indiana.. the profs at Indiana were the most interesting. Bloomington is a great town and the wooded view from the law library is beautiful. While Duke ended up being a better choice for us (based on job market for my wife and other factors), I think you made a very wise decision.
I just decided on IU, so I'll see you in the fall. Congrats
So how's UIUC looking to you? Considering the offers I've gotten so far, I'd say it's about 75% I end up there. I put it in the same league as WUStL, UMN, Iowa, Wisc, etc., and I just can't see those schools matching. I already signed up for the Feb. 11 open house. Are you visiting?
