Scholarship is Total - not per Year

2/9/08 - Accepted in to Penn State! Had visited with the admissions lady at the Houston Law Forum. She called to tell me my admissions letter was in the mail, plus the scholarship! Exciting, just not sure if I can move ALL the way to PA!

2/29/08 - Rejected from UT, that sucks :( I know it was a reach, but I was REALLY hoping! :(Small White envelope...

3/15/08 - Waitlisted at Camden. Was prob one of last on my list of choices... so not really upset/happy about it. Says in the letter their decision will likely be 3-10 days before school starts! Crazy! Think I'm withdrawing...

3/20/08 - Email from Baylor. Denied acceptance to Fall class but invitation to "reactivate" my application and they will send me acceptance letter for Spring 2009 class... not sure yet...

4/1 - In the past weekend... Acceptance packet from Baylor for Spring 2009 entering class. Fin Aid package from Penn State Dickinson. Attended PSU open house, visited Temple Campus. Loved PSU... not too fond of the Temple Campus. Temple admissions said my application was in the 2nd half of the admissions process.

4/3 - Got my Penn State Financial Aid package in the mail... first one...

4/8 - "In review" at Houston FINALLY

4/9 - Waitlisted at Temple. Asked to send in letter w/in 3 weeks saying why I wanted Temple w/any additional supporting documents I think would be useful. Visited the school the other weekend, liked Penn state better anyways. I discovered the school's atmosphere is a big factor for me. Gonna let this application die...

4/22 - Visited Baylor and Houston over the weekend. Received tour from a friend of Houston Law Center. Definately your basic school, but not nearly as bad as I had imagined by reading on LSD. Basic, ordinary classrooms - nice library. Not in the best part of town but very nice campus, very accessible to the highway, etc. Baylors Law School was gorgeous. Had lunch with 2 students, sat in on a contracts class. Professor was okay, but I was suprised to hear he is one of the favorites. Facility was gorgeous, interesting 4 quarter system, Waco not as small as I thought - but the opportunities for clerkships, etc worry me. Also, no scholarship there I found out :( so rather expensive...

I have until Friday 4/25 to turn in my first deposit! Hurry up SMU and Houston decisions! visiting SMU on Thursday...

4/30 - SMU visit went alright, I was suprised by how old the buildings were. Suprised but I think I liked Baylor more than SMU. Anyways, called SMU today and my decision has been mailed, I was too scared to ask her if she could tell me what the decision was. Called Houston and they said ALL decisions will be mailed out by mid-May... so they cant possibly make me wait much longer!

5/1 - WL at SMU, Schools shouldnt WL people this late in the cycle.. we've pretty much been on waitlist since March anyways...

5/5 - Sent a "continued statement of interest" to Houston in hopes of improving my chances to NOT be waitlisted!

5/12 - Email saying I got accepted!!! HOW WONDERFUL... I'm going to withdraw from the others... after much long thought, i want to stay in Texas!

on Baylor spring class! I think it's totally stupid they didn't take you for fall admissions, though.

Did Rutgers Camden give you the option of taking part in their summer JumpStart program? Congrats on Penn State.

Great job on UH! I didn\'t bother sending in a LOCI... maybe that\'s why I\'m still on the list. Whatever. I\'m sticking with SMU, but not giving UH the satisfaction of a withdrawal.
