I am super psyched knowing that all of the work I've done has paid off. Even if every other school rejects me I'll still be going to law school and it'll be totally affordable. Whoot Whoot.

No they didn't. The letter just said I would be looked at again with all the other applicants.

i sorta think st. mary's downfall has to do with a lot of other factors (ie, they got a really bad head guy who changed everything around, people couldn't pass the bar, etc. and now they're trying to rebuild) but obviously the lower tier for tech is a concern. However from what i've seen and heard so far, it seems like tech is more on an upswing than a potential downfall. And I just can't really turn down free law school. Plus, I love lubbock and could see myself living in that area of tx more than i could ever see myself in houston...i so hate houston :)

is taking their sweet time this year! The wait is so bad and so unnerving! Did you go to undergrad there? I did and it's such a beautiful campus and the law library is really nice. Also, they remodeled Carr Collins within the past few years and added a small cafeteria/snack bar and added wireless to the front porch. I've known a lot of people to go there (I bet you do too) and it seems the trick was just being genuinely interested and showing them that you really want to be there. Fingers crossed for you! Is crazy! I hope SMU comes through for you. From what I understand though, if you want to do litigation, Baylor is THE place to go.

Congrats on SMU! I am so happy for you - how exciting. They certainly made you wait for it! If there's any questions you have about Dallas, the campus, etc. fire away! I think you'll love the school and it's really intimate and quite pretty. GOOD LUCK!

So I got accepted to UH! I noticed another person who was WL with a 158/3.8 got off WL and accepted... are you sticking to SMU if you got accepted ultimately?
