Congrats on your acceptances. I'd be interested to learn how you heard from Wake Forest.
I'm in at Miami and GMU, too. Leaning UM. How about you? I'm also locked in the Bittersweet Motel at GW though. Were you at Big Cyprus with me, numbers twin?
money at Wake, thats a real good option. is that the favorite so far? I wish I applied to W& M. The GMU campus is just unacceptable to me.
I'll explain the Wake acceptance, it has certain strange circumstances. First off I sent in my app in late February and my decision was pending as of their first deposit deadline. I sent an LoCI via email on Saturday 4/14 and called on Tuesday 4/17 to make sure they got it. They hadn't so I sent it again and called on Wednesday to make sure everything was ok. The woman at the desk told me that they had put it in my file and she cc'd a copy to the director of admissions. 30 min later I got a call from Melanie Nutt, the director, asking me if I had any suspicions as to why she was calling (strange because Wake doesn't do phone acceptances). She congratulated me and told me I would hopefully be receiving some scholarship money over the summer provided some of the money that has been extended frees up. They sent my acceptance packet 2-day fedex and I sent it back this morning w/ deposit.
Congrats on accepances! I was wondering if you were still planning to stay on waitists? and, if you knew what our chances (I am WL at same places, with nearly identical numbers) are of getting in from those places... good luck with everything
I'm a big fan of Wake right now, I'm staying on the waitlist at GW since it was my first choice but if Wake ends up giving me some money I will most likely go there
