Additional info & updates

3/14-3/15 -- finally ended up getting my apps out... decided that law is the goal for fall '07... sent out 7 apps...

Capital University
Golden Gate University
Ohio Northern University (Accepted! 4/3)
Stetson University (Rejected 5/3)
Touro College (Accepted! 4/4)
University of St. Thomas
Whittier Law School (Accepted 4/6)

Timeline:

4/3 - Accepted to ONU (phonecall)! Don't know if they would have told me about a scholarship over the phone; still awaiting the acceptance packet.

4/4 - Acceptance letter to Touro. Sent deposit in for ONU. Whittier online system says my decision was mailed on 4/2/07, so that should be here by 4/9.

4/6 - Received acceptance letter from Whittier, w/ $15k. That might be just enough to outweigh the ABA probationary status. Due to the probation, i'm only considering GGU/Whittier if they offer money, and now I've gotten that offer. Does anyone have any comments regarding attending a ABA sanctioned school?

4/17 - Just received a phonecall from ONU awarding $15k/yr. Also finally received a confirmation email from Stetson regarding the completion of my app.

5/3 - Rejected by Stetson. I'm pretty much considering Whittier, Touro, Cap and GGU to be out of the race, so now it's between St. Thomas (still pending decision) and Ohio Northern. Visited Ada this week, and I feel it's a good fit, not to mention it's affordable. If I get in at St. Thomas, I'll have something to think about; otherwise, it's going to be Ada next year.

5/10 - In @ Cap w/ $10k/yr. Still waiting on St. Thomas

5/14 - Waitlisted at St. Thomas. When I go home I'll read the letter myself and see what I need to do.

7/23 - I have neglected this site. I've decided to attend ONU in the fall. Cheers

Thanks. ONU's admissions state is top notch from my experiences. They have sent me tons of info and are always willing to answer questions over the phone. I am not going there however because I decided to attend University of Toledo but if you have any questions about ONU I know some. I drove around the school one day when I was driving back from Toledo to dayton. Ada is a small small town but the school is nice. Again Nice job on ONU

Just to let you know, I also found out of my acceptance by a phone call and received an additional phone call a few days later about the scholarship so hopefully, they will still offer you some money. I know my scholarship acceptance/decline deadline is coming up so that should free up some...

Congratulations!

Congratulations on your acceptances so far! I'm surprised you heard back so early - were you already complete when you sent out your applications on the 14/15th?
