Additional info & updates

4/24/07 - late start, but everything is in now. i should be complete everywhere by the end of this week. then the waiting game begins...

5/11/07 - i still haven't received my "complete" notice at a lot of the schools i've applied to, but i did receive financial aid info from mcgeorge and western state. to be honest, i'm just happy that i AM complete at southwestern and loyola =)

5-12-07 - i got accepted to whittier with a dean's scholarship - free tuition for my first year (renewable)!! i'm surprised because i applied so late in the cycle.. definitely happy my first decision is an acceptance!

5-24-07 - i received a big packet from mcgeorge saying that i was admitted with honors (they'll pay for my first year books and will send my app to the scholarship committee). yay for another acceptance!

5-31-07 - i received a dean's scholarship of $12k a year from mcgeorge. i'm going to try to call and ask if they can increase it.

6-4-07 - i sent my seat deposit in at Whittier bc i'm still undecided

6-7-07 - i sent my first and second seat deposits to McGeorge; i also got a full ride scholarship to chapman! =)

6-11-07 - i got an acceptance from southwestern! i didn't apply for the financial aid though and it was due more than a week ago. we'll see what happens

6-18-07 - waitlisted at loyola

6-21-07 - mcgeorge increased scholarship to $15k/yr

6-25-07 - i sent loyola their waitlist form and a LOCI; i also mailed first seat deposit to chapman

7-6-07 - i received a letter from loyola saying they deactivated my file and withdrew me from the waitlist because i never returned their form... i drove to loyola to tell them i did

7-9-07 - i got an email from the asst dean at loyola asking if i'm still interested in attending.

7-10-07 - i emailed sw to withdraw; asst dean asked if i'd be interested in scholarship and them placing my withdrawal on hold

7-11-07 - i called loyola to ask if there's anything more i can do.. she checked my status and told me that i was admitted. i received the acceptance packet a couple hours later.

7-12-07 - i withdrew from all schools and sent in my seat deposit to loyola!

I took the december LSAT, hoping for something 160-165 helping to pull up my lousy GPA ... got a 154, decided to take another crack at the LSAT, and didn't do anything on apps from Jan-Mar, then ultimately decided to see what happened if i sent out some apps... i had everything ready to go (this was mid march), so i sent out pretty much everything in one day. my plan is to transfer after a year presuming i have performed well as a 1L

When did you receive your financial aid info from McGeorge? I applied a little before you did and haven't received anything yet...but maybe it'll be in the mail today.

Congratulations on your acceptance! If you go there perhaps I'll get to see you. If you do decide to go, would you be going to the rafting trip? Oh I got the results of the scholarship committee pretty quickly so hopefully you won't have to wait for long.
