Thanks bears - I've actually done a ton of research, but never visited the school...I have some friend who's a defense attorney there and he said that though the campus is gorgeous and the weather beautiful I should definitely choose American over Miami unless I'm planning on staying there... I would love to go to school there, but his advice plus other things I've read and heard make it doubtful... Sorry to be negative too - hope this helps!

Well I do have Miami, Tulane and Pacific (not positive about what Sacramento is like) on my list --- I even like the idea of going to a more moderate climate like up in oregon.... so my problem is not so much getting in somewhere w/ better weather than Chicago but deciding which ones I want to take off work to fly out to (well rejections will likely narrow it down a little bit...) And after all that it is possible I'll just stay in Chicago.
yup thats a ton of $$$!!! Nice going, please be all means let me know what its like. If you have any success in negotiating (?) scholarships based on other schools' offers I'd be interested in hearing about that too... I'm trying to work on Loyola atm...
I got an e-mail from northwestern today, i applied on the 19th of january. Pretty quick turn around.

Didn't interview, depending on how my next couple of letters go, I might set up an interview in Chitown soon. We'll see.

congrats on miami (and american - it is a great school from what i understand and lots of opportunities in dc) --- any opinion on miami and its campus? My relatives in FL actually gave me a negative reference... that's a shame b/c I want to go someplace warm. Good luck.
