01/07/07: Visit at Emory. Beautiful campus. Awesome city. They don't call it HOTLANTA for nothing.

01/13/07: Visit at UNC and Duke; in at Emory (!!)

01/23/07: Quick response from William and Mary. In with a Graduate Fellowship.

01/29/07: In at Northeastern. Beantown's an option.

02/02/07: In at BU (!!) -- nice handwritten note with reference to personal statement. It's just an exciting time of year!

02/07/07: In at BC. Not too shabby if I don't say so myself!

03/02/07: Received an e-mail from Dean Tom saying my application passed an initial review and has been selected for further consideration. I will treat this as a deferral. There's still hope for Berkeley yet!!!!!!!!!! YESSSS, I am an eternal optimist.

03/20/07: Georgia peaches are looking pretty sweet right now. $54,000 to go to Emory over 3 years!

03/21/07: Getting a little overwhelmed with the fact that I still haven't heard a word from Duke or UNC. Does this mean likely rejections? Oh North Carolina, please hurry!

03/26/07: Phone call to Boalt, confirmed on the WL. Kind of breaks my heart. But at absolute least, it is better than a reject. Too bad I didn't plump up that LSAT.

03/27/07: In at UNC -- found out via e-mail! SCORE! Elation! Gratitude! Jubilation! Now, it is just up to Duke and the WL at Boalt to round out my cycle. There are going to be some tough decisions, and it is pretty late in the game. I better get crackin'!

Thanks, and congrats on Emory! I'm not really sure about which school is my top choice, but I really like all the schools in Virginia and also Vanderbilt. Good luck with everything!

I didn't apply for the fellowship, but I filled out the scholarship form. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to Emory, though, so not too concerned about it.
