Additional info & updates

Cool. Need-based grant from Hastings.

I've decided on Hastings, and I'm trying to work out my financial aid; does anybody know if there's any practical difference between working with "T.H.E." or "The Access Group" for loans?

5/2/07: Posted on Seattle U web application tracker: decision has been mailed.

5/13/07: No letter from SU yet, above note notwithstading...

5/14/07: Accept. pack from Seattle U. was waiting at home this evening.

Anybody have an opinion on "law school prep" classes or similar seminars?

Checked with financial aid folks at my University-employer; they gave high marks to 1) The access group and 2) any approved provider of Hastings-related loans; apparently, the financial aid office negotiates discounts on behalf of students...

Just sent Seattle U. my "decline" letter. D--n, I hate closing doors.

How do you know I don't live there now?

What an incredibly ignorant comment your-critic made! That person speaks for idiot suburbanites in Oregon, for sure. That's why Oregon has half as much culture as SF.

I sent my app to BU on 2/1, and they gave me their waiting-list letter on 4/7. SF seems like a nice place. Glad I live there :).

That you live in SF. And plan to stay. :)

Loans

There are differences between all lenders, be sure to investigate on your own. Remember that you are not limited to "The Access Group" or "T.H.E." -- you can pick any lender you want. Do your homework, because you will be paying them for the next few decades.

I haven't decided on a lender yet...
