Additional info & updates

2-21-10...still waiting on Feb 6 LSAT scores to come in...

2-27-10...got my Feb LSAT score and it was a 146..pretty disappointed but hopefully having a graduate degree and solid resume will compensate for a low LSAT
...also sending out all my applications tonight so should be updated soon as far as accepted/rejected
...tried not to apply to schools that I know i have n chance at

3-10-10...got an email from Barry University today saying that my decision has been put on hold until end of March...I'm assuming they're trying to figure out if my strong graduate GPA and MBA can compensate for my low LSAT...better than a rejection though hah

..also decided to apply to University of Baltimore and New England School of Law today

3-17-10...woke up to rejection email from UALR today. Pretty disappointed because its one of the better schools I applied to

...accepted to Appalachian via status checker..won't attend there but good to know I was accepted somewhere..1 for 2 so far

3-22-10...rejected at Charlotte School of Law via email...a little surprising considering I've seen a lot of people get accepted/waitlisted with pretty much the same scores...

3-25-10...had to send in additional information to Thomas M. Cooley..won't go there but I knew I could probably get in with my scores..

...also considering applying to Nashville School of Law (non-ABA)..I'm not trying to do big corporate law so thats why this law school is intriguing to me..i've heard good things about it here in Nashville and its very cheap...I just don't know if I want to take on another $100k debt on top of my debt thats paying for my MBA

3-29-10...received thin white envelope from St. Thomas and naturally thought it was a rejection but I was waitlisted..for sure better than a rejection

3-30-10...went ahead and wrote a LOCI to St. Thomas thinking maybe I can hear back (accept/deny) sooner rather than later

3-31-10...rejected at Baltimore via email...not surprised but I did like the area and the school so pretty bummed

4-7-10...getting a little restless while waiting around to hear back from these schools so I sent emails to Faulkner (Jones SofL) and MC to check the status of my applications..hoping to hear back by this afternoon or tom
...rejected at Memphis via snail mail (thin white envelope obviously)

4-15-10...still waiting to hear from the last set of schools I applied to. I ended up sending LOCI to almost all the schools leftover just to try to help my application stand out. The only school that didn't send me an acknowledgement email back was MC. I'm hoping over these next two weeks that I will hear from these last schools but who knows.

4-24-10...rejected at MC via snail mail..honestly shocked just based on other peoples' scores on this site and their acceptances to the school but life goes on

4-26-10...accepted to Cooley via snail mail...pretty hilarious that they sent the letter and info in a big yellow envelope with handwriting all over it..looked like envelope had been used a few times...won't be going to school there but did provide some comic relief

5-3-10...accepted to Jones School of Law (faulkner) via snail mail..came in white semi-thick envelope...this is def a school I would attend..im pretty happy about the acceptance

5-5-10..dinged at New England via snail mail..no surprise here

5-20-10...have been put on hold at Barry University and Thomas Jefferson..going to visit Faulkner this weekend and will likely base my final decision off that visit..

UPDATE: Was accepted to Barry University but that doesn't change my decision about attending Faulkner (Jones SofL)

UPDATE: Apparently was accepted to Florida Coastal..received a phone call from a guy there and he asked if I was going to accept my admission and pay my seat deposit..I never received an acceptance in the mail or an acceptance phone call..The more I deal with this school the more I think its a joke

Thanks for the heads up on AAMPLE. I have no doubt I could get the necessary grades especially since I've already taken a class on the UCC, but something just didn't feel right so I turned it down. Would you mind sharing a little more information about AAMPLE? Also I see that you are an SAE! Thats awesome, I'm a Delta Zeta and my dad was an SAE. What are you getting your MBA in?

I went by there the other day and they have a student librarian who was very helpful in answering any questions I had, and apparently one of his teachers is a TN Supreme Court judge. It's definitely worth considering.
