Extra Curricular Information

no softs to really note, I do have somewhat of an interesting job but not in any way related to law. Worked all thru college.

It also really bothered me that most profiles I looked at especially for URMs weren't very detailed so I'm going to try to give as much info as possible.

I wrote a Diversity Statement and all optional essays (except a Why Notre Dame) so we'll see how that helps (or in ND's case if it hurts). I also had a GPA addendum.

Additional info & updates

Well here goes nothing!

Didn't do as well with my second LSAT take but figure if I'm only using fee waivers may as well smoke em if I got em.

2/3 - Phone call from Asst. Dean of Admissions at Chapman, accepted with a FULL SCHOLARSHIP!! So shocked but waiting on stip details (edit: stip details and scholarship retention rate not great, makes me reconsider).

2/8 In at Loyola via snail mail with $120,000, stips are awesome! Really makes Loyola a standout for me.

2/10 In at USD via email with 29k/year scholarship.

3/1 Fired off a last minute app to Pepperdine, they got back to me within a week with 22k/year...not bad but with Loyola's offer I was hoping for a bit more.

3/21 in at UC Irvine...thought it was pretty odd this morning that their financial aid office sent me emails but I never heard anything about my app then hours later I got the acceptance email. Waiting on the acceptance package in the mail to see if I have any scholarships.

3/23 General takeaways so far: a whooolleeee lot of waitlists! Some like WUSTL are surprising that I even got a maybe instead of a flat out rejection. I'm torn between taking the easy money at a lower ranked school or trying to take the LSAT one last time in June to give myself a fair shot off these waitlists.

3/27 Definitely an interesting day. USC's rejection was a hard pill to swallow. I honestly expected with the way things have been going so far this cycle and with the campus tours I took and reaching out to admissions and having family there/near I would at least make it on the waitlist. Oh well, such is life. Within hours of USC's email I received a scholarship from UCI which i absolutely wasn't expecting at all so that was nice :)

4/11 Got an email from Columbia today, assumed it would be the typical rejection email and reluctantly opened the attachment and the more I read the more I was pleasantly surprised! I'm on the reserve list for CLS!! This is so unexpected! But I'm trying hard to keep my expectations in check, will be visiting next week so they know I'm interested,

The online status checker will update to say "decision mailed." I received the letter in the mail 5 days later.

Thanks for your comment. Are you going to ride out your waitlists?

Hi! Are you a URM? Also, where did you end up attending, if you don't mind me asking?
