w/ low 160s you could do LMU, Pepperdine, USD, Santa Clara. All in CA. If you can break 165 you could apply to all the schools I'm applying to basically. I don't know where I'm gonna end up, American University looks good so far, but far from my top choice. waitin to hear back from BU/BC/UChastings/UCDavis
I've been accepted to Cooley for Fall 07, but it's my last resort. I'm not sure how Cooley's reputation is in Michigan, but it's almost embarrassing to say you went to Cooley in the rest of the Midwest. I've researched transferring out of there (since I've only been accepted to Cooley thus far) and it seems to be difficult. I've heard they have a very stiff grading curve in an effort to keep people from transferring out. I know that competition at Cooley is cutthroat because they kick out a TON of people each year. They enroll about 1,500 each year and less than 400 graduate. Some of the reason the number is low is probably because of the people who do manage do transfer out. Anyhow, Cooley does have nice facilities and a great location, so if it is your only option in the end, I'd say take it, work your ass off your first year, and get out of there! Best of luck to you in this cycle!
I saw a post regarding cooley i heard they have trimesters and they make it really hard for you to transfer, i wish thinking that same route but now its up in the air based on TRI...not semesters....good luck to you...btw i heard cooley is nothing to be embarrassed about people with 163's go there for free...Good bang for your buck also, its very competitive 1st year....take care.
Cool work experience! How'd u get into IBanking? Do you work in OC or LA? Anyways, getting your LSAT score up isn't as hard as you might think. I initially started at 153 and got to 169. I would recommend either Testmasters or PR. Or if that's out of the question ... then just rent books from the library. You need to do as many timed practice tests as possible. For Logic Games, you basically need to do hundreds of them to build your efficiency. LR and RC are a little tougher to raise IMO. If you have any detailed questions feel free to get back to me... I'm thinkin' about becoming a tutor anyways in the next couple months.
