I think it should count for something. I hope you played up your academic experience and GPA in your personal statement. Combine that with possible URM related issues and I'm sure you have a great chance of getting into more schools than you think.

Hi! I just got wait listed a Thomas Jefferson as well. I'm about to send them a "Letter of Continued Interest"...The problem is, I can't find my Wait List letter! =/ (I know, pretty bad). I'm not a URM, but I could be considered a non-traditional student, since I grew up in a non-English speaking country and I have an extensive work experience in a non-law-related field.
