So are you going to attend LSU? Just out of curiosity, why did you not apply to Loyola?

So you sent in your deposit huh? So did I. Can you tell me a little about Baton Rouge? I am heading down there for the first time next week. What's it like?

You'll love Baton Rouge. The city has grown to almost 500,000 in the last couple of years. The law school building is a smaller version of the entrance to the Supreme Court. LSU Law ranks #1 in first-time bar passage in the state. We've even grown to like Yankees down here!

Looking forward...

to visiting LSU. It's good that 'y'all' can accept Yanks because I am about as northern as they come!

Thank you, super congrats to you!

I am staying in Baton Rouge, so Southern it is! The only other school I was really considering was Loyola and I haven't heard many good things. Good luck and maybe we will bump into each other at moot court or law review competitions.

Yeah, tuition was too high. I have a really good computer science job and was not willing to give it up to full tuition to an out of NE/NY area school. Katrina did not adversely effect this. In fact, if not for Katrina I would have never heard of or considered Tulane. My waitlist schools are NY/Boston schools and I will be willing to pay full there because I want to practice here and they have a better reach.

Wishing you the best

Congratulations patsand My first choice was LSU but the dean told me I applied too late. Hopefully, I can transfer in after my first year at Southern. I hope you do well and bravo. I live in Lafayette, La. and I have quite a few friends who graduated from LSU Law and they all say that they throughly enjoyed it although it was very tough. Well, have fun!!!
