Rutgers emailed me an acceptance today; they said, "The Committee and the Deans at the Law School were very, very impressed with your outstanding personal statement." Hopefully that is a good sign!
I just got a letter in the mail from UMD, dated 12/9/05m in a big envelope with "Congratulations!" on the front. Since it's my top choice, I will be going there and withdrawing my other applications shortly.
Ummm...I don't know where you can check that online.

Congratulations on Umd & Rutgers - - both are great schools. Just curious...what did write about in your personal statement?
I wrote about my experience working in the non-profit sector and how I want to use law to work for positive change in society.
Thanks a lot for the message. I didn't get any aid, but getting the in-state tuition as a Maryland resident made the choice easy. Glad to be on board with you for next semester. I am so excited about the fall.

I am sending them all my narrative evaluations, but I am definitely nervous about it. I attended New College, the honors college of Florida. A lot of other students from New College have gone to law school, though, so I am hoping that counts for something.
