Additional info & updates

Scholarships are total: I will add stipulations below.

-11/25/2012- So, I just completed all my applications, and I am very excited to see where I end up.

-12/1/2012 - Accepted at Marquette, not going to lie I am kind of surprised. I received an email and then a letter the next day. The process took less than two weeks to complete.

-12/15/2012- I received two acceptances this week. Akron gave me an in-state scholarship and a very difficult merit based scholarship, but in-state tuition is reasonable compared to private schools. NIU and Akron called me

-12/18/2012- I am accepted at DePaul, they contacted me via email. Hamline called me today and offered a 65% merit-based scholarship(Have to keep a 2.4 GPA). Hope this helps people out, I know this site has enlightened me and helped throughout my personal jouney to law school. Scholarship changed to a 2.0.

-12/19/2012- Full Ride at Valpo, I need to update my transcripts, too. Just received my grades for the previous semester. GPA went up a little, but not significant.

-2/3/2013- I recently visited William Mitchell, if anyone is contemplating attending the school and has questions just send me a message. I would love to hear from anyone who is going to William Mitchell next year too.

I noticed we have very similar numbers and I wanted to wish you good luck on your cycle. I'm debating on applying to Marquette so I look forward to seeing if you get accepted.

Ha, I have no idea how Im going to make a decision....61 applications is really overkill. I was originally planning on doing 40 or so, but I kept finding a reason to add more...cheap tuition, good ranking, doable location, etc. I also didnt think Id get that many acceptances because of my numbers. I am terrible with making decisions, so this is going to be a struggle, I can tell already. I think it will come down to some combination of quality of school and cheap tuition. I dont plan on going into biglaw, just the same civil litigation in a mid-sized to small firm, so I dont want to take out 200K in loans. Congrats on Marquette though! Is that your number one choice?

congrats on TT

I just got accepted as well. Did your email include any scholarship info.? Again, congratulations and good luck on the rest of the cycle.

I ended up getting scholarship information the next day in an email. You probably got something similar. I have to pay a deposit by 2/1.

Great job of withdrawing from the schools you've decided not to attend. It has a cascade/butterfly effect that is good for early birds like us even in far away schools.
