Additional info & updates

11/16/06 - I finally decided to go online and look at my GULC status check and saw that it was complete. They never sent me an email to alert me to that fact like Penn and UVA did. I think Cornell is complete too but they were still waiting on the Dean's letter last I heard....

11/18/06 - So after only seeing that my app was 'complete' on the status check on Thursday I had no idea that I should be looking for a letter in the mail today. In the midst of a stack of bills was the acceptance from Georgetown! Glad to have one in hand.

11/27/06 - Got an email response back from BC that indicates my file is complete and will be reviewed for early notification. Also went complete at Harvard

11/28/06 - Got the email from Duke that they've reached a decision have put it in the mail. Hopefully will get it in a few days. I also got email from Chicago saying I'm complete for their regular decision. Won't hear anything for a long while sounds like...

12/4/06 - Got the status checker email from Michigan, and got a phone call from Dean Tom at Boalt! I didn't expect that any time soon so it was quite encouraging!

12/05/06 - I don't think I ever received an email stating that my file was complete but UCLA called and gave the good news today!

12/8/06 - Got the call from Toby Stock today! In at HLS

12/11/06 - Cornell letter and invititation to apply to for dean's scholarship came today.

12/13/06 - Although I never got a 'complete' notification from NYU, I did receive the acceptance letter in the mail today. It looks like NYU may have been making decisions over the past few weeks but decided to send out a mass amount of notifications in the past few days.

12/20/06 - Received the BC acceptance package today. Good times!

12/21/06 - Spoke with Penn admissions today and got the good news! It seems like there are two new ones every week and I really hope that trend continues....

12/27/06 - Yep, I guess the trend continues. Got an email from GW on the 22nd saying I'd been admitted and that a merit scholarship offer would be forthcoming. Today I received a packet in the mail from USC with acceptance letter and scholarship application form. Only a few left!

01/03/07 - My status checker at Michigan went complete last week but still no mail from them. Stanford just went complete after dean's certification arrived about 2 months after being filled out. Oops.

1/8/07 - Got email from Michigan indicating acceptance! Still don't have the packet but should arrive soon.

1/27/06 - Received the email from Northwestern today! Also, the Michigan letter with scholarship offer came last week. Only 5 left... Yes, I applied to way too many schools. Family reasons...

2/6/07 - Well the update is that I heard back from Chicago and got good news! Then today I got a letter in the mail from Columbia with a hold notice. I'm not sure how to take this but they assured me of a decision by April 30 so at least I won't have to wait long.

3/5/07 - Lot's of great scholarship info in the last month but not too much other action. $50,000 from Chicago is awesome as is the Levy at Penn. Still waiting to hear anything from Yale and Stanford and hoping to get off the hold list at Columbia!

That is a LOT of schools. I wish you a ton of luck to go with them. With your stats, I'm sure you will be in at most of them anyhow.

Thanks!

Thanks, and CONGRATS to you too -- hope you get your top choice, maybe see you at HLS next fall? And I think 'SC will need all the good luck in the world... not a single person on ESPN has picked the Trojans to win :(

Did you have a phone conversation/email with Toby Stock before HLS decision?

Congrats on your acceptances and scholarships! Quick question: how did they notify you about the Chicago scholarship? Was it something you applied for separately or did you just get it based on your application, like the UMICH scholarship

Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Do you remember how soon after you completed the needaccess and fafsa forms that you received the scholarship decision?

Nevermind...
