Extra Curricular Information

In general, I must say that given my numbers and relatively weak extracurriculars I'm surprised to have been accepted to all of CCN early in my cycle. Maybe it was the early app, maybe they liked my PS, maybe I'm just lucky. Who knows, but I'm happy about it.

Shouldn't help or hurt me.

2 recs should be decent .

PS was, I'd say, average.

Additional info & updates

7/07 Withdrew from HLS and will be at CLS next year.

4/15 HLS waitlist. Although HLS has always been by #1 choice, I think I'll only stay on the WL until end of July or so. PLEASE LET ME IN HLS EVEN THOUGH MY GPA ISNT 3.9 !!!!

4/07 Withdrew from all but CLS. Unless HLS decides to waitlist me and let me in sometime before August I'll be CLS2012

4/06 Got final financial aid package today so now all I have to do is decide. For reference: NYU money was a Dean's Scholarship, UofC money was a scholarship, CLS money was a grant, UVa money was a scholarship.

3/09 SLS rejection. FML.

2/20 YLS rejection. Can't say I'm surprised.

Looks like my acceptances are finished. I'm hoping I can get on the waitlist (and God forbid, maybe off the waitlist) at HLS, pretty, pretty, pretty please!

2/13 Small envelope from UofC saying they'll give me 33k.

1/23 Acceptance letter in the mail from CLS. I thought I'd be waitlisted so the early acceptance was a pleasant surprise (no scholarship was unpleasant but not a surprise).

1/19 Email and phone call from UVa's Jason Dugas (good call, seemed like a really nice guy). Looking forward to ASW and hoping they will throw some money my way. Virigina would be a such an awesome place to spend my law school years.

1/08 Call from UofC. I thought I may have been waitlisted so it's great to see a reasonably early admit.

12/20 Accepted at NYU, so excited - great Christmas present.

12/4 Officially complete everywhere, now there's nothing to do but wait.

Note to others: if you submit all applications but one then it is really hard to get motivated to send that last app, especially if it's a hail mary like SLS is for me.

I used to be fairly confident but after submitting I'm not so sure. I'm hoping I get in where my numbers are competitive and praying for a miracle from Harvard or Yale.

11/12 Complete email from HLS; I have mixed feelings about their policy of not notifying WL and rejects until april .

11/11 Complete email from Columbia. Was "completion pending" since 10/31

11/08 admitted at Duke via email - at least I now know my PS and LORs weren't awful

9/19 NYU fee waiver (by snail mail)
9/15 Columbia fee waiver
9/5 UofC and UVa fee waivers
8/29 UT Fee Waiver
8/21 Duke Priority Track
