I hope you are giving serious consideration to the University of Buffalo Law School. It clearly is the highest rated school on your list and if you are a NYS resident, the tuition is fantastic. I am a first year student there and I can tell you that the place is AWESOME !
Thanks for your note. I am in the midst of finishing up my finals and then heading home for a couple of weeks. But in mid-January I go back for the three week Bridge Term. Unique to the University of Buffalo, the Bridge Term engages you in the practical "nuts and bolts" of actual lawyering. For all first year students our Bridge Term will be working with our fabulous law librarians helping us to learn all the 'ins and outs' of Westlaw and legal research ! The finalists for our next Dean are utterly amazing. One clerked for Thurgood Marshall, another was a key negotiator for the NAFTA treaty, one is head of the Poverty Center at UNC Chapel Hill, and one is head of the Legal History Program at U of Ill !
Congratulations on your acceptance to the highest rated public law school in the Northeast: The University at Buffalo Law School ! Wish you the very best in whatever decision you make. All I can tell you is THAT YOU CAN"T GO WRONG going to University at Buffalo Law ! I start back on Jan 8th with their unique 4 week Bridge Term ! First year law students have personal attention with the law librarians who will teach us to use Westlaw and Nexis. I'm also signed up for a workshop on Mediation ! All the best in the new year ! Hope to see you on campus !
what type of correspondence did u get from buffalo and syracuse? CONGRATS
Yes, U of Buffalo is a great school and if you are a NYS resident the tuition there vs. U Conn clearly tilts in the direction of UB !
With all due respect there is no comparing University at Buffalo with Albany. University at Buffalo is a strong Tier 2 (Top 100 Law Schools in the U.S.) and Albany is a Tier 3 school.
Congrats on your decision to attend University at Buffalo Law School ! Cheers !
