Additional info & updates

-Have great internship & work experience. Flirted with med school for too long, a decision that has come back to haunt me (low GPA). Scored between 154-159 on 11 consecutive full length tests, but test anxiety got the best of me on the real thing. Interested in international/entrepreneur law. If I get into a good enough school, I'll pursue a JD/MBA.

-My wife and I drove 11 hours to visit Pepperdine and had a great visit. Bought an airline ticket to visit the school again, but was informed the day before I was to go that I'd been rejected. I had great LORs that were directed specifically to Pepperdine. I couldn't hand-tailor a school/program to better fit my aptitudes and interests, but it looks like it's not going to happen. Heartbreaking. Hard to imagine anyone more excited to attend Pepperdine law.

-Have a strong personal statement and interesting life experiences - Mt. Everest Marathon medalist, Ironman triathlete, well traveled, 2 year service mission, lots of international service, interested in int'l human rights legal issues.

-Visited Cardozo and loved it. Still waiting to hear back. Applied for May entry. Fingers crossed. After Pepperdine, trying not to get too excited though.

-Visited Northeastern, Suffolk, Brooklyn & George Mason, Seattle University.

-Starting to get that sick feeling that I'm not going to get in this year - I''m getting old so this has been an extremely frustrating process. Wondering if I should've gone to a less challenging school for undergrad and chose an easy major and just cranked through.

3/18 Fingers crossed for Cardozo! I'd be thrilled to go there-
3/30 Still no word from Cardozo...still hoping!
3/31 Talked to someone at Lewis & Clark - my scores don't exactly match but I'd be thrilled to go there. If I were an URM I might have a shot, but I'm not. I think I'd fit in really well there. Trying not to get too discouraged - there are several schools that haven't responded, Lewis & Clark & Cardozo would be a dream.
4/7 Still nothing. Cardozo starts in less than two months, so I'm hopeful I'll get accepted soon!
4/10 Rejections all around. This sucks.

I was in the same boat until today! I finally received an acceptance! The wait takes a toll on you but wherever you get accepted take it and then transfer the following year. I am in the frame of mind that I will prove everyone wrong. I am older than the average, three kids, a husband and a full time job...but I intend to show everyone what I am made of the first year!!!!! Good luck, odn't lose faith, and pray. Check out PALMA. He is a user who had a 148 LSAT and a 3.0, yet has been accepted to a ton of schools. Don't lose FAITH!!!!! I started to and then remembered when it's meant to be it will be!
