to you as well, man. Hope your WL's are out of the way, and acceptances are to follow shortly!

Thanks

After spending 4 years a college town (Gainesville, FL), I want to attend a school in a city. Miami was my top choice from the beginning but I was hoping to get accepted by Georgia State since I love Atlanta. I am surprised that I got into as many schools as a did (especially Tennessee) since my gpa has a downward trend. I noticed that you applied to UF! I withdrew my application from them because I just needed a change. Good luck with your schools.

Thanks

I'm leaning towards LSU right now. I'm actually fairly certain that I'm attending barring an acceptance and extraordinary scholarship offer from Tulane. You'll for sure get into one of those schools off the WL and I'm positive you'll have some outright acceptances coming soon. You'll have a hard decision to make in a month or so. Good luck! P.S. I'm going to Admitted Students Day at LSU in March. I can let you know how it goes if you want!

Gainesville

The problem with Gainesville is that you can't escape from the college. Everything revolves around the school and there really isn't much to do there besides partying or going to the movies. The town practically shuts down by 10pm even on weekends. County outlawed alchohol sales after 2am so the clubs close at 2am. This can be a good thing because you won't have too many distractions while in school. Another positive is that, compared to cities, apartment prices are a bargain. Since you are in Atlanta I doubt you will enjoy Gainesville outside of the campus. But you will definately like the commute times.

good luck!

Good luck with your cycle! Was just browsing through profiles and saw yours.. Just to let you know, Baylor doesn't have an "in review" status.. I think it just goes from complete to "decision rendered". and don't feel too bad about the wait, I've been complete since mid-Nov! :( Did you apply for all quarters?

In Common!

You and I both applied to GSU and Baylor. I messed up my application to GSU completely, and am so embarrassed by it, however, there's still hope for Baylor! I wish you the best in your cycle as well. Please, keep us posted!

Session error

I also had a bullshit session error. You commented on my old profile, Shook11. I'm fairly confident you will get off the list at LSU. Best of luck to you!

and to answer your question about Baylor, my status checker went from complete to decision rendered. I get the impression Baylor doesn't take a second look at anyone that falls below their medians because of this.

Haha yah, don't feel bad! I waited for a very long time before eventually getting frustrated and contacting their office. :) I really would like to get into SMU pt. That's my number one.. or get off one of my waitlists. I'm still waiting on a few of my top schools. I'm going to visit penn state, lsu, and texas tech! what about you? Where would you like to go?

Georgia State

Congratulations on your acceptance there! I do have one question, though, did you list part-time as your first choice on your application, or did the law school just accept you into the part-time program?

Congrats!

Congratulations on Georgia State! While you were denied by Baylor, it could be worse! I received, "two" letters of denial...ha! Talk about a freak accident or mismanagement of files...who knows. But again, best wishes to you and, congrats!
