Additional info & updates

Cumulative GPA is a 3.75. I have one semester of all failing grades due to a medical circumstance.

Louisville is my top choice because I am planning on moving there this summer, but I am applying to to several places that sent me fee waivers.

1/23 - I visited Louisville this last week and toured the law school. It was a great experience and I should know something about my decision within the next few weeks.

1/26 - Under review at all four school. Should have decisions from Ole Miss, Seton Hall and Illinois soon. Louisville will probably be a week or two.

1/27 - In at Ole Miss via snail mail. Status checker never even updated. Called to ask about scholarship info and was told that I'm right at the cusp. Definitely not pay OOS tuition for there, so will wait and see if they have anything to offer.

1/31 - Decided to throw out a few extra applications after receiving fee waivers. Syracuse and Michigan State today and possibly West Virginia and NKU tomorrow. All depends on fee waivers.

2/3 - In at Louisville this morning via email! Hoping for some scholarship information in the mail very soon.

2/9 - File is under review at NKU, Syracuse and Michigan State. Still have yet to hear anything from Seton Hall.

2/12 - $7K a year from Louisville in the mail today! Best news yet.

2/21 - Still waiting to hear back from Syracuse, Seton Hall, MSU and NKU. Just threw in an application to Arkansas as well.

3/1 - Received 27K a year at Syracuse and 8K a year at Arkansas (reduced to 5K once residency is obtained) Really wasn't expecting either to be honest. MSU requested an additional "Why MSU" statement, and since I know I won't be attending there, I really don't feel like writing it. All I'm waiting on now is a scholarship offer from NKU, and for some reason, it's probably going to take several weeks.

3/9 - Withdrew from Ole Miss and Seton Hall today. Ole Miss wasn't going to offer any scholarship money, so I figured there was no sense in holding that spot for someone who really wanted it, and Seton Hall waitlisted me, so enough said there.

3/21 - NKU offered $12K per year with no stipulation. Emailed Louisville and they upped my scholarship an additional $1,500 per year! Still going to retake the june LSAT, and if I score high enough then I could be eligible for more merit money as well.

Ole Miss

Thanks about the info on Ole Miss! I thought it was kind of weird and I had seen other profiles saying that the checker never changed but people randomly got letters in the mail. It looks like we have applied to 3 of the same schools! Good luck with your top choice Louisville. They aren't my top choice but it's an excellent school. My best friend from high school went there for undergrad.

Congrats

Congrats on Louisville acceptance. My process there was very strange and I finally withdrew my app yesterday. I wasn't waitlisted but was placed on hold to see if they met their diversity requirements. It looked like a good school to go to. Good luck!
