Additional info & updates

steady upward trend in grades as I kicked off college with a 2.25 gpa

generally unimpressive transcript (as far as course selection) and lack of honors besides dean's lists

Duke is a crazy reach and I'm leaning towards Madison based on curriculum

4/3 - informed by the U of M I wouldn't hear anything until mid-may. I'm quite close to commiting to Wisconsin. BTW- why won't Duke just send out their rejection letters already?

4/4 - Withdrew from St. Thomas today. I now officially have no outstanding offers that include a scholarship. good choice? we shall see.

4/24 - As predicted, rejection letter from Duke received via snail mail. No sweat, I was ready for this the day I sent that application in; I still think it was worth a shot.

4/25 - In at U of M. Admissions office called me.

4/28 - Decided on the U of M and withdrew from WI. Wash U withdrawal will be done in a matter of days. Cheers.

I am also wondering if you did anything, like add an addendum, send in another letter, or let them know they were your top choice.

Congrats on coming off the hold list. A freaking great gift on a Tuesday afternoon. Any preference between M and W?
