I sent a letter of continued interest stating that the U was and would remain my top choice. I threw in an update of my current activities for good measure. It would definitely reflect well on you if you did the same. I get the feeling they will admit you when you show initiative. By the way, I forgot I left the "logged user" comment a while back. I know the feeling. I'm in the process of shutting down my consultancy and my wife is due with our first child in September. CHAOS! I haven't heard a damn thing yet, though. Good Luck.
