1/8/10-In at Mercer via status checker

1/16/10-got a letter from UTK in mail-$5000 per year as long as I stay in good academic standing. This is very nice considering I get instate.

1/21/10-just got a letter from Mercer in mail for scholarship offer of 25k per year.

1/25/10-dinged at GMU via snail mail. Actually surprised by this one because I thought I would at least be waitlisted like my numbers peers.

1/29/10-Acceptance from Memphis came via snail mail today. Says that scholarship info will come later.

2/3/10-Got a rejection via snail mail in small envelope of death from GWU

2/4/10 Via email I was placed on Wake Forest's wait list.

2/6/10-Received admission packet from Santa Clara via snail mail with 11k Emery Merit Scholarship.

2/10/10-Blazing fast response from American with a priority mailed admit package

2/14/10-Sending out LOCI for Wake Forest.

2/15/10-Waitlist email from Cardozo

2/19/10-Received an email notifying that I have been accepted at Cincinnati. More info to come.

2/24/10-via status checker rejected at Georgia. Looks like I am shut out of the Georg- schools!

2/27/10-packet in mail from Seton Hall with 25,000 per year scholarship offer if I maintain top 50% ranking in my class.

03/05/10-received email that I have been accepted to Tulane. It said that letter and scholarship info will be mailed out. Very excited!!

03/09/10-Called today and found out that i got a 15,000 per year scholarship to Tulane and also received via snail mail a waitilist from Maryland

03/13/10-checked the status checker today and I was waitlisted at Fordham. I am happy I am still alive there.

03/14/10-Got home and received a waitlist via snail mail from W & L, also invited me to law preview days. Via mail a totebag from Tulane. Scholarship via mail from Cincy

3/25/10-Checked on American's website and I was given a 11,000 a year grant. Makes things even harder.

3/27/10-I received acceptance letter from South Carolina in mail today. No info on scholarship money.

3/30/10-Bama's online status checker changed today. Not expecting good news.

4/1/10-Got the rejection letter from Bama in the mail today. UNLV called and asked why I wanted to attend their school. Instead of bull shitting them I will be sending a withdrawal email. Also withdrawing from Cincy and South Carolina.

4/2/10-After withdrawing from South Carolina yesterday got a 3,000 merit scholarship and in-state tuition rate. Still not enough to choose them but a generous offer indeed.

4/14/10-made the big decision today to attend UT-Knoxville. With the scholarship and instate tuition it is hard to beat the price. Regret for this cycle is that I overapplied BIG TIME. I would have at least cut my list in half especially after seeing I spent about 900.00 on application fees. Going into the cycle I was all about getting into the highest ranked school but as the cycle progressed I was able to do more in depth research on my top choices and rankings started to mean less and less. It was extremely hard to justify paying 2x-3x the COA atTulane and American went I felt like I would not be getting 2x-3x the opportunites and education that UTK offers. I will stay on a few waitlists just to see what happens but I think you can set it in stone that I will be in Knoxville for 3 more years

4/17/10-Chicago Kent emailed me and said that I have been admitted and should receive the acceptance letter in a few days.

5/4/10-Received email from Pitt Law asking me to reply if I am still interest. Ill inquire about financial aid but it will be extremely hard to pull me away from UTK.

5/20/10-Checked the status checker for Fordham and I was rejected. Oh well I sent off the second deposit for UTK anyways.
