Hastings Chances Analysis

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate any positive support- the next three weeks will be stressful! My main concern is their tougher index formula this year- I'm a 3.0 on last year's formula but a 2.9 this year. I'm expecting waitlist / deferral, but hoping for the best!

Thanks for the info on Hastings and post-law school advice. I'm hoping to get in at Hastings. Do you work for Hastings? - If so... PICK ME!!!

based on regression analysis of gpa data...a predictor of 1L gpa... Indicative of Competition. Last year 3.2 =almost Autoadmit.

Hastings Index

Unfortunately GPA is the one piece of the index I can no longer control! I can only hope I am far enough removed and the years of work experience help. I understand UC's focus heavily on grades, though, which is unfortunate for my situation. Worst case, I can retake LSAT in Feb if I should get deferred. Unfortunately that pushes me out to March before the score would be updated to the school. We'll know soon enough.

GO BEARS! Wow, your kid was a shoo-in. Harvard too? I just want to say "Great Job" for being there for your child and sharing in the stress of law school admissions. I know I couldn't do it without the assistance my family & friends. That's real great of you to do that much research and end up being on LSN!

Homeless in SF

I have yet to throw down my deposit. I procrastinate. Anyway, I was thinking about those three housing choices as well. Buy? - no go, especially in that area. But I have yet to check out condos... I was deciding between craigslist apts and the mcallister tower. I am leaning toward the tower because it is below market cost, utilities are paid for, its good networking, and could not be in a more convenient location.
