Additional info & updates

Got my December LSAT score. UGGH.

Scheduled for the September 30th LSAT.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good LSAT. I keep taking practice tests and score around 165. But we all know how that goes. I'm worried I'll be in the 150's.

I wanted to add that I got my Associates in 1989. My GPA sucked. (low 2) I went back and now my GPA at my current undergrad school is a 3.89. Cummulative is a 3.3. I'm hoping that my 3.89 will hold more weight since it is obvious I am a more serious student. What do you think? It had been 15 year since I had been in school when I went back. In the mean time I have gotten married and I have children. Think my life experience will hod some weight?

At first I was dead set on UGA but I know my chances are probably slim. My first choice now is Ga State. JM is my safety

Got an acceptance to Mercer today. Not sure why I applied. My family is here, North of Atlanta so I won't be attending. It just feels nice that somone wants me though. Now I just have to sit and wait and pray for State!

UGA.....Phooey

Well I've decided to take my acceptance to Grad school and get my Masters and retake the LSAT in June and reapply next year. I really want to go to State. I hope everyone has good luck this cycle. I just need to bring my score up a few points. sigh.........

Yeah I'm taking the 9/30 LSAT as well. UGA is definitely my top public school choice...maybe my #1 overall. I would really love to place into Atlanta so it's obviously ideal for me. Really seems like you need a 163 to get in, huh? Thanks for reminding me about GSU...I forgot to put them on here haha

thanks

Good luck to you as well. As far as Atlanta goes...I guess I like the combo of a big city, good weather, and reasonable cost of living. It has a decently large legal community as well from what I understand...so jobs won't be impossible to find. Trust me, it would beat Ohio. I've been trying to line up schools according to where I want to end up practicing. Since I won't get into a T14 anyways, I figure I better go to school in the same regions as the cities I like. Are you totally set on staying in Georgia? You wanting to stay close to home or do you just like peach cobbler that much?

Thanks

Thanks a lot. I hope it went well for you. How do you feel about it? What did you think?

Good luck!

Hey! I hope the LSAT went well. It was the second toughest part of the application process. The WAITING was the hardest! I think that you've got excellent shots at these schools. The fact that you keep improving should be a huge plus for you. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and I'll be watching to see how things pan out!

Yes I did submit an academic addendum. I'm sure it will help. Everyone changes over time!

Good luck!

I think you're going to do fine. JM shouldn't be a worry for you. It's a good safety school. GSU is well within your reach. Mercer is on par with GSU. UGA is a good school and might be a little tiny bit of a stretch, but absolutely not unreasonable. Your LSAT (just like mine!) isn't bad and your grades (just like mine!) show an upward trend. We're both older students with more focus and more determination than some younger students. The real-world experience definately is in our favor. =) It looks like chances are pretty good that we'll be classmates this fall. I look forward to that. Good luck!!

I hope so too!

Are you applying for PT or FT? Either way, I'm sure I'll run in to you. Be sure to keep me posted on your progress. I'm thinking good thoughts for you!

Congrats on JM

Nice! Now we wait to hear from GSU.
