I think you're right. Also if they waitlist everyone then they are more in control of their class size and yield. I called the admissions office inquiring on the status of my application last Friday 4/11. They said I was complete and with the AdComm (as it was when I called last in March). I've been complete since mid January. While better than an outright rejection, I feel as if I have been defacto waitlisted without notification yet... I hate this waiting game.
Im def interested in Albany...I will be visiting in the next week or so ......How is St. Mary's ? I applied there as well .
