Additional info & updates

Sat Jan 21st- Rejection from Valpo. Not really upset. Only applied there because of the waiver they sent me.

Mon Feb 13th- Accepted at Cooley. I'm just happy that I get to go to law school. They gave me a 25% scholorship. Probably won't end up going ther ebut now at least I can say I'm going to law school.

Feb 15th- Letter from Hamline telling me not this year but apply for the next one and see what happens.

Wed Feb 15th- Letter from North Dakota saying my file will be reviewed at a later date. Not a rejection, but its not an acceptance either.

April 24- Got an invite to participate in law screening program at SD. 5 weeks and they only take the top 10 people. Worth it?

Hi Westlie! I am completely confident that CSL will receive their accreditation before the first class graduates. These people are on top of their game, so to speak, and have put all the pieces in place to make sure that their application and approval process are flawless. They have already accomplished this with FCSL, and will be doing it for PhoenixLaw next year, so by the time they have to do it for CharlotteLaw, they will be super-expert at it. Additionally, they have a past ABA president on their board, and many experts on the things that the ABA is looking for in order to satify the accreditation requirements. Also, I have been told that when they are inspected, if there is anything that they are lacking for the approval, they are given a list, time to fix it, and then are re-inspected. Also, you should be aware that if any law school is provisionally accredited, then students are regarded the same with all the rights and privileges as though the school were fully accredited. "Provisional" simply means that they are subject to more frequent inspections. I hope this answers any questions you might have. Please do not hesitate to email me directly if you have any more questions or just want to "chat." Good luck with your applications!!!!! Joan

Dayton first deferred me in Feb and said I would have an update by March 1. ABout March 10th, they deferred me again and said I would have an update by April 1. I emailed them a couple days ago and have still not heard anything. I applied to start this summer so I dont know what they are waiting for. I hope to get into one of the Dakotas as well. I would prefer SD but ND would be great as well.
