I wouldn't mind staying in the 'bugh; however, there are a lot of personal factors that will come into play when making my final decision. I totally hear you on being addicted to sending out appliactions! Almost everyday the thought crosses my mind... I should've applied there, I should send out one more ect... ect.. (although I see you are much worse then me!) Too bad it is such an expsensive habit! Good Luck on all your apps!

Hang in there! Its not time to get worried yet. You and I have almost identical numbers. I mailed my apps in November last year, and did not get my first admit until late February, and most of them came in March/April. Good luck!

on your acceptances. No matter what else happens, your going to law school and thats all that counts. I'm sure you'll do well the rest of the way.

I emailed Valpo asking about the status of my application. They responded by saying it was complete. Additionally, I received a letter from the m after I had received the email.

We have both applied to many schools and many of the same ones but are both only in at Tulsa and Cooley so far. We still have a whole lot of apps out there yet. Best of luck to you and congrats so far.

Hey! I'm from Long Island and used to live bout 40 min from Touro and for New York State it has a pretty average rep! But, I have a friend in his 2nd yr at Syracuse Law & he said that he has heard a lot of great things from his professors bout Touro. You should definitely visit! I havent been back to the area in awhile, but its pretty nice- also pretty expensive to live of course. We're applying to a lot of the same schools, whats your 1st choice?? It's gotta feel good to at least have a few acceptances, I cant take the wait. :-)

I am from Long Island, work with 2 attorney's who graduated from Touro. They both passed the bar with flying colors and are now practicing here in NY. Depending upon what you want to do with your law degree, whether you want BIGLAW, or not- answering those questions will help you in deciding which school. Touro also has an awesome new campus being built, directly next to Federal, State, and County courthouses- they're saying they're the first law school in the country that will have in court, hands on, types of classes. I've applied there- but for me, it's close to home, they offer a P/T program, and I plan on staying in the field I'm in now...(already have a job after law school). It all depends upon what you want to do. Drop me a note- let me know if you have any specific questions. Perhaps we'll see each other there- IF i get in with my :( lsat :( score! GOOD LUCK!

good luck. I had a 144 lastr year and got the heisman from everyone. took the LSAT again, scored 150 and was accepted at my first choice immediately.

Right, I understand. The whole housing part is really stressing me out right now. I've never had to live on no income & pay rent. I've applied with Access Loans just last night and I'm hoping that I'll be covered. Sending in my seat deposit for Tour today. Let me know if by some chance you end up there!! So glad this process is over, pretty psyched to get started.

I think I saw on another page that you were unable to make the trip this weekend. It was very informative, and I left with a favorable impression of the alumni, students, and faculty. Every student I spoke with already had jobs with local corporations or courts, all stating that it was easy to get jobs in that market due to the preference tu students and alumni receive in the area. The school is highly respected in this area, and I'm hearing more every day from people the extent to which that is true. Let me know if you have questions about pre-law day or any other info..

Hey Corbabe, I have heard many good things about Dayton, and it is one of few schools that I applied to that I might consider over TU. I am not saying that I would, but I would have to consider it carefully. Finally, when I first heard from Dayton, my file was placed on "hold" to be reviewed later. Then they sent me an email in March saying that I should have a decision by the end of April, and I really want to find out the decision. TU is still my choice at this point. How are things going for you? Hopefully you will starting hearing from your remaining schools. Have you heard from Detroit yet? I heard from them a few weeks ago. Best wishes on your remaining apps. Congrats on UDM, good to see some good news come your way. TU vs. UDM will be a hard choice. How does UDM place in the market you eventually want to practice in? UDM seems like a great school in Detroit. I visited UDM and also went to a reception at a BIG LAW firm located in the GM headquarters across from the school. UDM has a great reputation in downtown Dertoit. Most law firms have alumni from UDM from what I understand. The school seems to care about the students and their careers very much. The only complaint I have is the OLD building. UDM is located in a old building in need of repair (to be very honest). They claim to be updating it but they really only have one nice classsroom. All events were pretty much held in this classroom during the open house. If you have any more questions email me!

Are you that worried about your future career that you think I might take your only job. Who knows?!? Also, you may want to look into a new career because my profile says I am a dude, so brush up on those reading skills before law school. just my .02.

Hey Corbabe I have to admit, I am a little sad that you withdrew from TU, as I was hoping that maybe we would be studying together. I am happy that you will be able to find a school closer to home though. It sounds like UDM will be a better choice for you in the end. I am 99% sure that I am heading to TU, but have a few schools left to hear from to be sure. So, I will let you know. However, I want to wish you the best of luck in the future. I know you are going to do well, as you seem to have a desire to become a fine lawyer, and are willing to work hard to achieve your goals.
