Update 4/2/07: Barry offered me $24,000. ($8,000x3yrs) This makes my decision a little harder, now the money difference between Washburn and Barry is $9,000 as opposed to $33,000 without the scholarship offer. What to do, what to do?

I received an e-mail acceptance to Barry today. I had previously been accepted at Faulkner (Jones School of Law in Montgomery, AL). I will be taking a trip to Faulkner this weekend to see what it's like. My 1st choice is Washburn in KS, because it's way cheaper and has a good Env, Law program. In KS they let you get in state tuition of around $13,000 after you live there 6 months. It will save me $33,000 dollars over Barry. Faulkner in Al is pretty cheap at 20k per year. I am aprehensive about the provisional approval though. My parents intend to leave FL and move to Al in two years to retire, so I'm still considering AL.

Hey, I am going on the 31st too. Maybe we'll see each other...lol. My wife and I are considering Jones heavily because it is located in our home state, which is where we intend to practice. Good luck with the rest of your cycle and maybe we'll see you there.

I recieved my acceptance to Washburn today. Barring any extremely bad vibes when I visit, this is where I intend to matriculate. Even without scholarship offers considered, Washburn will save me $33,000 over three years at Barry.

Congrats!

Congrats on Washburn. I enjoyed Jones. I think it is where I am going to go, even though I have 4 T4 schools! I felt at home there. Good luck at Washburn!

You have a great GPA, why didn't you apply to any higher ranked schools?

Yeah, he is a really nice guy. When I first visited I sat and talked with him for like an hour. He is very good at his job. He is also the one that I had to negotiate the scholarship increase with. I really liked how he treated me and represented the university. Good luck at Washburn!
